Rhino lining or Line X ?
i got line-x w/color matching. i looked up rhino first, but they were 50miles from my house...line-x was right up the road.
i will say that i'm happy with it. it took a few days to really dry. i don't particularly like the way it keeps part of my boxes when i slide them, but it seems to wash off well enough. but in all fairness, i am not rough on the truck...yet. i've only had it a month and a half.

Your in Norman, OK. I know the dealer there. He is a GREAT guy and was one of the first LINE-X Master Franchisors. I trained with him. He's has LOADS of experience. He also owns the shop in OK City. You'll be happy with your color matched LINE-X.

Line-X...what else can I say? I've had two beds sprayed now, one from a shop in Blue Springs, MO and one in Olate, KS. Liked the looks of both, probably got a little better job from the Olathe shop (didn't spray over the top of the bed mounting bolts).
Anyone have any information on the Vortex spray-in liner? I am in eastern North Carolina and this is the only liner I can find in my local area. I don't want to start another big debate on who has the best product, I just want to know the pros/cons of this product.

I have had the Linex in my previous truck and liked it a lot. My brother has had Rhino in his Chevy for about 5 or 6 years and it is looking rough. The surface is chalky and the spots that have been damaged show how thin the liner was when sprayed in.
I have heard that the installer makes the difference, so make sure to visit the store before you get it done to get a sample of some of the work that they do.

One last thing....
GO HOGS GO
Toff, which operated mostly in Texas, is 100% polyurethane just like Rhino. But, Toff is softer (shore A 85) than Rhino (shore A 92.5) and has less tensile strength than Rhino.
Here's some pics of Vortex in white that was posted by another forum member.

Wow just picked up my truck after they sprayed in the Vortex liner and it looks great! The dealer removed all the hardware sprayed in the liner then reinstalled the bed hardware and it does indeed look very sharp. And the nice thing is then did not put on any decals or anything just sprayed it in and cleaned it up.
Line-X

I looked at some trucks around the my worksite and didn't see too much of a difference between rhino and line-x. Everyone I talked to had reason why they choose or didn't choose a certain brand. I ended up going with line-x because the shop was closest to my house (still had to drive an hour!). I absolutly love it so far. I haven't done any heavy hauling with it yet but am sure it will hold up.
Like so many things there is no right answer; IMHO it all depends. I like the rhino for my purposes because it provides a little cushion to shock; like throwing in a piece of wood. Also because it has a higher coefficient of friction; meaning if I have to hit the brakes a little on the hard side that my chainsaw is less likely to go crashing to the front. But the rhino IS softer and more easily chipped. So if you haul rock, gravel, etc. and use a shovel in the bed of the truck Line-X may be better because it doesn't chip nearly as easily.
I have the Vortex and I don't know for sure it looks just like a line-x to me. and after hauling 5 loads of under bush and trees still looks great. It feels kinda spongey when you walk on it. I really enjoy it.
I got the Line X sprayed in my truck today. They did a superb job, and removed all of the hardware (bed bolts, tailgate bolts etc) prior to spraying and reinstalled them afterwards, giving it a factory look.
If looks matter to you then the Line X wins over the Rhino in my opinion, from what I've seen. I much prefer the finish of the Line X. I'll put some pics in my gallery soon. Too bad these guys aren't doing much business right now, due to poor sales of trucks in general in our area.

It is all in the dealer
