so i went and got a disconnect tool, and its not working. the line just will not come off. either end i use just wont do it. and suggestions? i need a little while to cool off anyways since between this and getting stung by a wasp on my head im pretty heated.

you gotta get back under there and work it with the tool in every direction until it comes off. i did it on my 07 with little problem. Make sure you using right size tool. I bought a whole pack of tools.

does the tool pass the lip on the filter when i insert it? because it seems like when i do this it stops at the lip and the filter and the tool will pull out together?

you prop have wrong size. have you got any lines disconnected???

well the back one doesnt need the tool, it just uses that really nice and easy plastic clip...wish the front was the same

does anyone know what size and what type of coupler i can buy to replace the stock one, i think the problem is that i might have bent the prongs inside the line.
