Wrapped my factory 20's in Plastidip!!!

So far they've only been on for two weeks and i'm very pleased.... Just put 1,200 miles on them over the Holiday for travel. They've held up well. Interested to see how they hold up in the winter and car wash. I plan on getting them powder coated, eventually..... 4 coats for $26 for the time being......not sure if i want to keep the center caps as is or pd them as well.

i like the chrome in the center to make it pop. What does the rest of the truck look like?

I like the "pop" as well. Just not sure yet. Here's a few more pics. Truck is white with black leather int. I'll eventually get the bumpers painted and get new nerf bars. Not a fan of all the chrome anymore. I did pd the emblems which turned out good. This is my first time dealing with this product and i'm no pro. I'm sure there will be plenty of touchups coming in the near future.

I would leave them chrome. Seeing as your fender/bumper is chrome along with your running boards, I would leave them chrome. Either way will look good though. I like all black pd'd rims. Look good with a matte black finish.

Either way, you can't go wrong. Both will look good.

Looks awesome!

I like the un-dipped center cap, since you still have chrome on the truck.

Looks really good. I would try removing it from the lip of the wheel though so there is more accents to.them so they aren't as pitch black. Would look like Boss 303s.

Rattle can Plasti dip from the hardware stores (I don't want to break any rules by name dropping lol...HD, Mnrds, etc) . Less than $6 a can and I did about 4 coats per wheel, 4 coats on the 3 emblems as well. Used 3.5 cans. I did the Ecoboost emblem but that did not turn out well....So i left them off the truck.

I am really pleased with how these turned out. Pics on the internet don't do black wheels any justice. Well, pics in general. You really have to see them in person to "see" them.

I wanted a different look without having to spend a fortune on new wheels and tires. Plus (as you can tell by the elephant ear mirrors in the pic) this truck is primarily used for towing our camper. I wanted to keep the tire size as is for now.

Wheels look nice .... really NICE actually , and I like the Scorpions as well ....
.... but you really should paint up inside those fenders with some of the black PD or Krylon or something ....
.... black.

Quick Question...When you sprayed your Wheels...Did you pull them off the truck or just spray them while they were on..

I am definitely going to do this...

I just bought this 2006 F-150 Lariat...Black on Black Leather

That looks awesome! I've been wanting a set of OEM 20's anyways but this makes me really want a set. No hard feelings if I borrow your idea? :P
