Tint

Hey guys. Right now I have the state legal tint which is 40 on the fronts and 25 on the back doors and rear. Would putting 5 or darker on my back make a big difference?

Thanks

5% over the 25%? It'd be pretty pitch black, me thinks.

Even just the 5% would be darker (obviously). I have 20% on my front, while my dad has 5% on his 150. From far away, you can't tell too much, though up close, you can more or less see into mine, where as you can't even tell there is someone in his.

I had a shop tint my front windows to match my rear windows (around 20% i believe) and I really like the uniform look.

I think your truck will look much better just the way it is rather than having a big difference between the backs and fronts.

But of course, its all about your taste, and I'd like to hear your opinion if you do go darker in the back!!!

Let us know what the results are

Not sure if this is what you mean, but i meant back as in the rear glass...not that back doors...but if you mean as far as the doors go, then yea i agree uniformness looks way better.

oh ok, i see now. yes i was talking the rear doors.

My mistake. In that case i'd say go for it and tint that one a little darker if you want.

However, i find it already difficult some times to back up at night with the tint i have (around 20%) Not sure how much more difficult having the 5% would be on there, maybe no different at all. Most of the time I just use my mirrors anyway!

5% on the back glass backing up at night, your rolling down the window to look out the side guaranteed.

The 5% wil keep out more heat and for privacy be a lot harder to see through.

i have limo all the way around. Cant see in at all. Cant see out at night.. backing up requires rolling the windows down.. I love it tho. I would never do anything less.

Doesn't matter, 20% is impossible to see out of at night, at night anyways you dont use the rear window of a truck to look out, bed is too high, you gotta put the fronts down and use the mirrors. Or at least know your area.

I agree with Darren.. Pretty much anything 20% and lower your going to have trouble at night, unless its well light up...

I have 5% all the way around and 35% on windshield.. This will give some idea of how it will look inside/out with 5% if you did it all the way around..

These were taken at about ~5:30pm on a rainy day in the summer
