Some Recent Updates I thought I'd share!
I would LOVE to drop the truck. It is the biggest thing on my to-do list. Here's what holding me back, maybe somebody has input, IDK...
1.) She isn't paid for yet, so I feel kinda werid about doing stuff that big when she isn't mine %100. (Then again, if I found a good enough deal my mind could be persuaded...
)
2.) On that topic though, anybody have input on voiding the warranty? Since I paid for it, I don't want to screw it up. Anyone know of any way around that? Like if I used Saleen or Roush parts?
3.) I know that I have XL, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. My next "Mod" is upgrading the mirrors, and PTM the rear bumper. I don't like looking like every other work truck. OEM+ mods first I think
It is 2:05am for me, and I am really ranting here.
I'm not sure why, I want to drop the truck, why the hell am I trying to talk myself out of it. I dunno, I feel pretty loco at this point!

1.) thats somewhat understandable. how long do you plan on keeping the truck tho? if you dont really plan on gettin rid of it anytime soon, then you know youll probably end up doin it eventually. Sooner is always better than later! lol
2.) on your warranty...dealers MIGHT be able to void your warranty on parts such as balljoints, tie rods, ujoints...etc. Basically just suspension stuff. I wouldnt worry about that too much as those items normally wear out after the warranty period anyway. I think you might be 100% good on warranty if you go with saleen or roush parts, but im sure the dealer will have to install them which will be $$$
3.) im in the same boat with you on the xl part. I upgraded my bumper to one with fog lights too, and had an alarm put in so i have power locks, and luckily everything was already PTM on mine! I also plan to put power windows in sometime soon...so i know how ya feel on that one...but xls can still be nice!
JUST DO IT!
Also, dont be afraid to buy used parts! I used to religiously search craigslist/other sites for cheap parts, some used, some new, and i basically pieced together the exact kit i wanted plus some extra for more than half price!
edit: WOW completely forgot to even comment on your grille wth?! ahaha
it looks great man! pat did a great job on it and it definitely makes your front end 100x better

RE: blackedoutV6
Your message, is too long to quote so I'll just respond, haha.
Honestly I can't disagree with you on any level. In a perfect world I want to have her the rest of my life, I just think that it would be the coolest thing that if I ever have kids to have them learn to drive on their Dad's first truck! So I guessed you nailed it sooner rather than later.
Really the biggest thing holding me up is the install. I don't trust myself to do this alone, and to even have it done at my friends' shop it's quite a bit on labour.
I'll tell you what guys, I want to lower her and I need your help.
This IS happening this year, so don't let me forget it!
...also like blackedout said, used parts FTW. So keep me in the loop guys!
Thanks for everyone's input so far, as far as links, comments and even page views. I just noticed how many people have been following my little project here, and it's really amazing!

Small Update: Installed Feb, 17th 2010
So the Patman grille was the biggest thing lately, but I have been doing some other things as well.
As I mentioned earlier, the amber in the headlights contrasted the yellow of the fogs - and it bugged me. So I went with the "chrome" turn signal bulbs.
Chrome is in quotes, because they don't look that chrome... But they are less amber.
On the other hand, they light up much brighter, and I think that they look okay in pictures.
Before:

After:

It looks more blue to me, then chrome. But hell, they match my bulbs (the blueish tint); and I'm done buying bulbs for awhile so I'll keep 'em until they burn out.
One more pic:

Now the bigger thing of the day...
The first mod that I did (the 3rd day I had her) was installing an
Alpine CDE-9870. Great unit! Simple, but I've never had an problems with it. iPod integration as well. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that it was a single-din unit in a double-din space.
I've also wanted to change the colours of my cluster and interior lighting. The Alpine unit matched the OEM lighting spot on, but once I change it, it won't flow.
A friend of mine bought this Kenwood unit for his Supra, but never installed it. He ended up going with the ever-popular Avic series.
Lucky me.

While I'm still getting used to seeing it there (like I said that Alpine's been there since '07), I'm completely loving it! HD Radio, Sirius ready, built in equalizer, A CLOCK! All I still need to do is finish the iPod integration on the Kenwood.
Oh, and I was so excited about the stereo that I forgot to take pictures but I put on some really subtle mudflaps. I'm just so sick of tearing up the paint in the winter. They are black molded (very OEM looking) just there to keep the dirt from the road on the road.

Added to the 17th
Haha oops, I forgot to add this.
I figured that I was getting close to the picture limit, so I'd just make a new post.
Anyway...
I also got a box from Tasca today!

I got a fuel filter and...

I can finally hook up the fog lights!
...I have fog lights?
...and I'm going to be able to use them?

Edit:
Random pictures from the last couple of days, cause everybody like pictures!
Before work last Sunday, around 6-6:30am

and yesterday before I got stuff put on

I wish the there was less in the background, but I like this picture for some reason.

You guys seriously make me laugh... I wasn't planning on posting these until they were installed, but since everyone is getting antsy

A box, whatever could it be...

Think with your dipstick (or Mirrors) Jimmeh! hehe

(Sorry for the low-rez pics, I forgot my camera, so these are from my phone)
I'm getting 'em put on, on Friday. While I could probably figure it out, it's cold, I don't have a garage or many tools, so I'll just take it back up to the shop and get Kevin's help.
...Since I actually have an appointment now, I'm getting the fogs hooked up then, as well as the other set of mudflaps. By then I should have my new tires on too! Woo-Hoo!
oh, btw since I'm gonna keep these wheels for awhile does anyone have an extra center cap? I lost one like a year ago, and I thought that it would weird with just 3.
Old picture from when I painted my taillights, but it shows the center cap that I need (look at the SCrew).

....
almost done, I swear!

I did this sketch in class the other day. Just what I'm thinking at this point, but Interior completion.
