I thought that I would just add this here seeing as I didn't really know where else to put it...

I've been working on a Side Project; It's a 1/28th R/C of my truck, so I figured some of you guys might want to see it.

(keep in mind that the body is for the 2nd gen chassis and I have the first)

Here's how the body started (except in blue)

Then Right after I took a section out to make it a reg cab

2 Part Epoxy Drying

Some of the low spots being filled

After first coat of primer and some more filler

It's not done yet, but I thought I'd share.

Read here for the full build up: http://xmodrc.yuku.com/topic/8481

I've been up to that as well as going to a car show with my job. I didn't enter, but I parked near our booth and it gave me a chance to take some pics.

Oh, seeing as the fire dept sponsored the show, I thought you guys might like to see their Super Duty.

Talking Tail Lights Painted!

So, I got to work early today in order to paint my tail lights.
Before I say anything else, I got this idea from somebody on here. I would give them credit if I remembered who it was... <facepalm/>
Anyway, on with the pictures...

Talking Pics Continued

Way too many pictures, but I was really happy with the outcome.

Input wanted though; first off what's your opinion on this (just curious)?
And, I was thinking about taking some Niteshades and shooting maybe one or two light shades on just the reverse (white) part.
What do you guys think?

I was thinking about it....

Either that, or picking up a Saleen Tailgate Trim. Those are satin black and I figured that would flow too.

Thoughts on that?

Thhat's pretty neat man. Makes it look like the thinner tailight style from early 90s through 2000s on the various F-series trucks. I like it. The nightshades would look neat, just make sure you keep enough contrast so the light doesn't look like one big blob. On a side note, I have a feeling your truck is going to shock people on this site. You have slowly been playing around with it. I bet in a few years if you continue with your work, you will have one mean reg cab that would be hard to trace to the origional shots you posted a few months back.

Any time... I love seeing threads like this. There is something amazing about watching stock trucks transform into even better things. I have a feeling in a few years people won't be able to imagine what what my had looked like when I first got it too Customization is fascinating and executing it well is hard to come by when I see some of the trucks on the street where I live. Keep it up bud

Thank You again! I pretty much live on this forum, so I will always keep this updated. I took a look at your truck and I think it looks pretty damn good so far too! I agree though sometimes it's hard to come by; you see all the trucks on here and it almost sets an expectation, so when you drive down the road it can sometimes be a shock. ..but hey everyone's going to have different style so who am i to say anything.

Edit: Just read the rest of the thread and realized you already ordered them, hopefully they hold up longer than mine did.
Thanks I was wondering wether they were any good or not.
