Bed Caps

Has anyone ever heard or seen, a 97-03 f150 with painted bed caps (any Colors). And also what about the trim around the back window, would it be possible to paint that to, either white (to Match) or black. Or would that just look stupid.

ive seen a white 03 super crew with painted bed caps to match...looked good....but DO NOT paint around the back window black....it will make your window look HUGE

lets see here...

lets try at an angle....

nope, still looks the same. i dont like the gray it came in, so i made it gloss black to match the windows. the only way it could make the windows seem "bigger" is if they were transparent. seeing as they are not, i can differentiate between the two.

i say go for it. so far ive had this paint for a little over a month and ive had 6 or 7 e-mail responses to it and a few fellow Ford owners stop me at wal-mart, work, wherever to ask where i got it or how i did it. all it requires is a lot of masking and patience and wha-la.

Black trim around the back window looks good (like Raptors) if the window are tinted....just my opinion.

Rear window trim would look good painted IMO.

You can paint your bed caps yourself, it will look much better than the ugly grey.
