Jeepin, chill out dude. Your only an EMT, not a police officer. If he wants to get busted for officer impersonation, let him. But having arguments over the 'net is retarded

Unless you're just bull****ting... Which is most likely the case
See...when your in a VFD, you can have emergency lights on your truck. But some people arnt very good with wiring, or just dont feel like it. There for I have done some installs in the past. From strobes, to simply running and hiding wiring for dash lights. Even if your statement had any validity to it. I really doubt a light malfuntion would cause them to sit at the station instead of responding...

Raptor said it best...case closed, I win. There is nothing you have on me that makes me a criminal, or even a bad person so why dont we just drop it. You can flame all the other people you want that want the lights to scare friends, whatever. I dont/wont do anything illegal with my strobes.

I personally think that you having strobes is more of a liability then me having them. Im stopped with them on, your flying through traffic with your adrenaline pumping. Im parked on the side of the road. Which is more dangerous???

HEY DID YOU TELL THE GEICO MAN OR WHOEVER YOU'RE INSURANCE GUY IS ABOUT YOUR STROBES AND CODE RUNS IN YOUR POV? YOU KNOW YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE SIDE WARNING DO YOU? IF THE FAMILY CARAVAN HITS YOU DUE YOU GIVING YOURSELF RIGHT-OF-WAY THROUGH STOP SIGNS OR STOP SIGNALS WHILE RUNNING THESE CODE CALLS..... YOU CAN BET WHO WILL BE COMING FOR YOU. A SURVIVOR OF THAT FAMILY... GRAND JURY... ... ETC.

JUST BE CAREFUL OUT THERE AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SIDE AND DIAGONAL WARNING. FRONT AND REAR IS NOT ENOUGH. SERIOUSLY, CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE GUY. SOME STATES REQUIRE YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY OR CORPORATION TO NOTE YOUR VOLUNTEER WORK BUT ARE NORMALLY NOT ALLOWED BY LAW TO RAISE YOUR RATES ONE CENT. CHECK INTO IT!

Just a shame. I came to this thread looking for some insight to strobes (Looking for some white flashers for construction/emergency response) and I stepped right into the middle of a pissing match. Won't be surprised if they lock it.

Turn off your caps lock. It is seen as yelling. And I would be willing to admit that as you live in WA, you have no clue about the lighting laws in FL. So get off your high horse.

1st4x4, this thread was 4 months dead until you two brought it back.

Agreed. It's helpful sometimes, but in this case it's annoying. Now lets just let this SOB die and be done with it Hopefully another newbie won't bring it back up

Must be nice, it is illegal for fire fighters in the state of Maryland to run lights in POV's. Although we do just fine without them.

Comin' from NJ, I used to have them there, don't know how I would respond without them. But it seems all the fire fighters, down here, hang out in the fire house all hours of the day and night. I don't know how someone does that, I enjoy my home life too much.

That's why I never joined my VFD. I didnt see taking all those classes to sit around with those guys. Another reason is I heard from FF at another station was that those guys were all watching **** together. So, I filled my application, got my background check, but never joined.
