Neuler, that is definantly awesome. The matching chrome rings look great on there. I am definantly going to find a spare set on the ol' ebay to do since i have yet to see a PTM blue.

Have any of you guys considered leaving the orange reflector off the housing?
Also does anyone have a progress pic of the side without the reflector on? I want to see how ugly it looks without the reflector.

No i just sanded them with 320 and used Krylon Gloss Black for Plastic. Great paint for plastic, would have never guessed it would have worked so well. It calls for no sanding or primer, but I still wanted to sand. After the sandind I cleaned real well and painted. Also no clear, I read that someone tried it and it made it look bad, as if there was a lot of orange peel in the paint.

A tip for you when you get them out of the oven, have everything ready, a place to work, screw driver and a thick pair of gloves and pry real hard on one of the corners and work to the middle. Once you get that open pretty good, put it back in for another 10 and put the gloves on and just pull them apart real hard and the scary part is done.

Good Luck it's really not that bad, and you'll love the results!

If you look at my pics before paint, i have the reflectors poped off. Can't see that well but there is a hole for the light to shine through. I would sand the reflector and paint it, if that's the look your going for. Would work out well. I liked the orange, it give's it depth. But it's your 150 so do it up.

Here is a good shot of mine before paint, minus the reflector. I just painted the whole thing black and put it back in. It darkend up quite a bit. You could probly just spray 1-2 light coats on the back of the reflector for an even darker look. There are some more pics in my gallery

Kinda had a thought. I know the HID reflectors for the Navigators are just about the same design as ours. Soooo my thinking is if you kinda lightly sand the bottom half of our reflector so it doesnt reflect as good as the rest, wont that make a good beam cutoff for HID's? I hope everyone understands what im trying to say.

why not retrofit the navigator reflector into the f150 lamp, thats what I plan on doing if I ever have some extra $$

The best option is to retrofit a projector not reflector... better cutoff and no glare...

Just completed mine. They are super sweet looking, especially since my truck's black. Don't be fooled, this project is more than you think youre getting into at first. But I love a challenge, and I'm an experienced handy man and do it yourself-er, so it came together nicely.
Hint: Have a helper. My budd-E helped me, and we eliminated the need for a re-bake. We both tore into the middle and worked outwards.
Hint: You don't need sandpaper. I used the Krylon also. I just layed down a mist/speckle coat to give the next few layers something to grip to and it turned out beautiful and even.
Hint: Take all of the old silicone out of the channels. Bake the housing for 3-4 mins and dig with a small flat head screwdriver. Use needle nose plyers to rip out inches at a time. Re-bake the housing after 3-4 mins for a few more at a time to keep it coming out in strips with little hassle.
This will help when you re-seat the lens assembly into the housing, and help even more to keep it weather tight.
If anyone's doubting this as I was at first, DO IT. You will not be disappointed. And saving money is not the only reward,....... looking at these bad *** headlights day in and day out with pride, that's what counts!
