ok, that makes sense... but i still dont know how im going to get the speaker wires connected to the amp... maybe some alligator clips would work, but idk because the pins are SO close together.

The system will stay on when just the rcas are plugged in, with no output, granted I didn't turn the sound too high on the hu. But it will stay powered without going into protect. And I also need to find a new ground... Because the only way it will stay grounded is if I have the jumper connecting it to the battery.

hu and rca's appear to be fine then if it will stay on with the rca's connected and the hu turned up a bit.
ok so now take your meter and set it to ohms 200 and check the speaker wires going the sub touch the red to one wire and the black to the other wire and tell me what it says with the wires disconnected from the amp and what model and brand of sub do you have?
and also follow the wires from the amp to the box is there any place that they touch metal and have worn through the outer jacket causing them to ground out?

i thought you checked the ground to the amp and it was ok?
if that is the dual voice coil model infinity 1052w 10" referance it has 2 coils and each are supposed to be 4 ohms.
and if its the single coil model its supposed to be 4 ohms.
im thinking your sub is fried

I did. It was not a good ground.
Does that mean that I need two wires running from both outputs into the single input of amp? Or what?

It is a dual voice. I connected the leads, to ONE of the outputs of the sub which is how I had it connected to the amp. I was not using both outputs of the sub. I didn't know it mattered.

WHAT?
by only connecting one lead your power handling would have been cut in half to 150w rms in which you've surely fried that coil on the sub reading 1.5 ohms. fix your ground on your amp and reconnect everything else to it except the sub and wires going to it at the amp terminals and get you a new sub 600 wrms dual voice coil 4 ohm or single voice coil 2 ohm if your going to use the kicker amp. and a 300w rms single voice coil 4 ohm, dual voice coil 2 ohm , or dual voice coil 4 ohm sub if your going to use the mtx amp. i would keep the kicker amp and get rid of the mtx.

im going to keep the kicker... so i need a 2ohm single voice coil amp.. got it. anything you would recommend? i need a 10" sub that it about 5" in depth...
would that sub have been good to use with the kicker? i really liked it...AND i think i might be able to get another one for free from best buy
