Thanks for recommending me, ManualF150!

Thank you Crystal. My light went off when I drove the truck next, and hasn't come back on since. I will PM you if it comes back and I am able to get it to the dealership this week.

Really appreciate your help as well as ManualF150's!

What kind of symptoms are you experiencing with a failing steering rack? I have a noise from my front end when I come down to a stop for maybe 5 seconds that sounds like an electric motor maybe. I think it is more pronounced if the wheels are not centered when I come to a stop like when I am starting to bias the front towards the right before a stop so I can continue a right hand turn after stopping. The noise will start prior to stopping and last after the stop for the 5-ish seconds then go off. No other problem, but wondered if it would be the electric pressure on the steering rack...

Hi, I just started having this "Service Advancetrack" message on my 2013 STX F150 this weekend. My symptoms are the same as most everyone else on here. Turn signals will not stay on while the error message is present. Even after pressing the "Reset" button, which makes the error message go away, the turn signals still will not stay on. After re-starting the truck, the turn signals then worked correctly. This truck only has 25500 miles on it. I bought this truck new, so I know it hasn't been abused in any way. I only have 3 more days until my 3 year warranty is up! I sure hope Ford will fix this before my warranty is up. I will be calling them tomorrow. Still no TSB or recalls on this? This is ridiculous!

Welcome to the forum, Relaytech. Getting your truck into the hands of your dealer is definitely the best next step, especially since you're nearing the end of your warranty. Come back and tell us when you have a diagnosis. I'll hang around this thread to see if you need any help.

Update: Well I got my truck in to the dealer just in the nick of time! They actually could not get my truck in the shop until after the day my warranty expired, but the guy at the service counter wrote my "RO" for the day I called, which was 2 days before my warranty ran out. Any how, same story here, as they had to replace my steering rack with a new unit to fix this problem. This is completely unacceptable that the steering rack on these trucks is only good for 25000 miles! I was wanting to put a small lift on my truck along with some taller tires (maybe 35's), but now I am concerned that I might only get 10000-12000 miles on a steering rack under those conditions! Thinking of selling this truck and getting an F250.

service advancetrac

Hi
I own a 2012 SCREW 5.0
Last week I got the message "Service Advancetrac and Service Brakes"
After researching here and on other boards this seems to be very common
My truck has 50k Kilometer on it and my dealer tells me this could cost well over $1000 to fix!!!!
My bummper to bumper warranty just went off in Aug, I do have a full maintenance package on the truck but it wont be covered.
Has anyone else had this situation and got Ford to step up and help out ????
Appreciate anyones assistance and info regarding this..
Thks

Welcome to the forum, dadunphy. Since you're in Canada, I recommend contacting my Canadian colleagues on this forum. Here's a link to their profile: https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...serviceca.html Send them a PM; I know they'll be happy to help out.

I have a 2011 F 150 two wheel drive with 41000 miles and just started having the same issue with the servie Advancetrac message. Sounds like there are all kinds of fixes. Have not gone to the dealer yet but will let you know what I find out.

I have a 2011 F-150 S/Crew with roughly 52,000 miles and have started having the same issues. Service Advancetrac comes on and then the turn signal will not work correctly. After reading this thread it seems to be a problem for many. Will make an appointment this week but from reading the thread i am not expecting good news. Looks like this could possibly be covered under the powertrain warranty, but maybe that is just wishful thinking. Spending 1500-2000 dollars for a vehicle with less than 60,000 miles is ridiculous.

F 150 Advance trac issue

My local dealer just called in regards to my issue with the advancetrac message. They said that to repair the issue with the advancetrac message will require software down load with a adaptive learning process ?? and that the issue with the turning signal will require a steering angle sensor. Total cost for repairs is $ 509.00 plus tax. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks for the update, tfparis. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership; I'll escalate this to your regional customer service manager and have them give you a call.
