I won't be buying a new F-150 for a long time! I still absolutely love mine, & when it's paid off pretty soon, I'm going into debt again for a new Harley Street Glide!......

I used to have an '03 F-350 and when I used to see the F-150, I used to call it the 'Chick-150'. It looks like a truck now, not some Taurus with a truck bed. My two cents.

I've had an 06 and 08 and I think the new body style is much nicer then the previous gen, not to say it rides much nicer as well.

What year did it look like a Taurus 'Chick-150'?
pre-1997? 1997-2003? 2004-2008? 2009-2010?

I can't recall it ever looking that way, but then again, I never got into them until the all-new 1997 F-150 hit the auto magazines and it was so beautiful I went out and ordered one of the very first ones soon as Ford would allow me to, and got my 1997 beauty in early '96! I got more comments on that 150 than any of the others I have owned, it was such a radical departure from the '96, so curvy and sexy and just an awesome truck all-around, as all the 150's have been for the most part. I've also owned an '98, '04 and '09.

I'm not sure where this "chick" one came in? Was it pre-1997? I thought those were square boxes? Not very "chick". Was it one of the early F-100's with the bubbly look to them? Still not very "chick". Perhaps you are thinking of a knock-off, like the Blackwood or Mark LT? Those sucked, but they still didn't seem very "chick" to me. My best guess is you were looking at an actual Taurus, not an F-150, after all.

I have to agree that the 97-03 f150 body styles are the best design ever. Not particullay inside just outside, had lots of options. I think thats when it made the most popular "car" in the world, beating the VW bug.

I think this new Gen can be considered a Chick-150. Its a nice truck but has the same front end look as my wifes Edge

I like the back end of the 09's but they screwed up the front. The chrome grill comes up too high. The grills on the previous design was way way better.

I like them. I didn't really care for them at first, but it grew on me and i like them a lot now. Looks a lot better than the Chevy's and Dodges I think. It has a "respectable" look to it, kinda like a high class truck is what I think it looks like.

The new design has grown on me some since it first came out. I think some of the 2010 grilles look a little better. I didn't like the front end at all at first because it looked too much like a GMC to me. The thing I really don't like is the tail lights and tail gate. For some reason it reminds me of an old 70's station wagon taligate with the fake wood paneling. IDK why maybe its all the groves in it? But if I had to get a new truck it would definately be a another FORD although maybe an F-250 next time!
