I know some guys i see at the local builders yard. All 3 of them have f150's and they hated everything about my 09 when i got it. One now has a 09 and the other 2 cant afford to upgrade as they bought 08's and are in to much debt with them but they both want the new model now lol. Funny how people come around after a year or 2.

'09 is like an '04 -all the horrible '04 issues, + lotsa cool tech gadgets!

[QUOTEefuehrin] I like the back end of the 09's but they screwed up the front. The chrome grill comes up too high. The grills on the previous design was way way better.

Are you talking about the '04-'08? Still confuses me how you can like one but not the other, they are so very similiar in design. And the grille is one of the '09's strong points, compared to the other trucks out there. The other manufacturers grilles are all sloping downwards, making their trucks look sad/droopy/weak compared to the Ford, both '04 and '09 (again, very similiar trucks IMO, I still don't call my '09 all-new, but always refer to it as a major refresh).

By the time they get around to buying one, they'll be in the same boat. They'll go into debt for an '11, and then the all-new '12's will be out. I sure hope the '09's keep their value, if FMC is really going to re-do the 150 in just a couple short years.

Let's hope by '12 they have Upfitter Switches as an option, plus Heated Steering Wheel, remote start built into key, and get some more indents in the driver's door, so you don't have to open it super-wide to get out (the first indent is a joke, I'm skinny and even I have to really squeeze to get out if I only open it to the first indent). I'm not sure what else would be nice? Well, besides MPG, of course, which should be top priority for all manufacturers.

Maybe you would be happy with a Dodge. I hear you can get a deal on one these days.

I had an 04 FX4 Flareside supercab red/grey from launch in January 04. I had it for 8 years. I loved it, always liked the look of it, and when ford came out with this new style I didn't like it. Well I still don't like it, but felt its time to change. I sold my truck, did a convienience deal at the stealership. Theres not much out there that I "LOVE" Besides what I bought, the only other truck I liked was the Dodge Ram Sporty Model, But its a dodge so....

I got the only other truck that I could say "looks good". A black 4dr FX4 with the blackened head and tail lights. All other colors of the FX4 don't look right. All other models of the F150 don't do anything for me.

Anyway, I got the best that was available to me in the 5.0L V8.

So far, Ive had it 2 weeks, already had it back for warranty. Passenger seat has a High Pitch Squeel, back headrest broke when I tried to remove it, box liner didn't fit right. And the A-Hole body guy at ford tried to do a Half *** job of buffing out a scratch on the FRONT PASSANGER DOOR before I took delivery, so I had her in to get all that fixed. They had the truck for 2 days, had to order the parts needed so there not fixed yet, and the MORONS ended up buffing out the DRIVER DOOR!!!!!!!!!!! yes wrong door. FOR F-SAKES!

Hopefully when the parts come in they will do the right door this time. and hopefully it won't take two days.

What exactly was the point of digging up a dead thread to post a vent about problems you are having with your truck(which, consequently, have nothing to do with the thread)?

Well the thread is still relevant, I saw it during a search, read some posts and then wanted to post myself. Relax.

I did contribute to the topic, but felt the need to rant afterwards, maybe I chould have posted that somewhere else, but im sure somepeople will find it informative.

It honestly didnt make much sense as the facelifted 2013 will be shown in the next couple of months and this thread really will be irrelevant. Kinda made me laugh actually.

However, I shouldn't have snapped as bad as I did. We had one member who was recently running around and digging up long dead threads for nothing. Pretty irritating......

....anyways, sorry for snapping.

Why do people care when other people "dig up old threads"? Maybe every thread over 6 months old should be deleted then...?

2013? 5 years would be 2014 redesign. I hope they don't change them yet, I just bought a 2011.

Funny you should mention the rear head rests. I was able to " wrestle" my headrest out of the rear seat to install a seat cover for when we transport the 4 dogs. I was not able to get them back in no matter how much forcing and twisting I did with them . Brought it back to the dealership to learn the "trick" and they had to remove the rear seat to re-install the headrests. Poor design if you ask me.

It's become nothing more than GD material, that's why.
