The truck is great, is there somethings I dont like sure. But Ford thought this out very well. If I wanted the best looking truck I would have bought a ram. But overall Ford has the best truck this year bar none. Chevy is supposed to be new for 2013 I kind of wanted to wait till then to see what they had before I bougt my EB, but had a diesel and was costing me way to much

if you put that brown color on the new f150, it looks like a big brown turd!

I still much prefer the look of my old 2005 over my 2011, but I was geting too many miles on it to be on the highway late at night, as much as I am. I have put 12,400 miles on the 2011 in 4 months. I like the comfort of the interior, the electronics, the larger cab of the new one, the mpg and I have accepted everything about how it looks except the ridiculous tail lights. They look like warts! Also, the 2005 felt heavier and stronger, body wise. It was a great truck and hopefully this 2011 will be just as good.

Bluejay,

Have you weighed your trucks to know if your newer one is any lighter? I am surprised with my '08 Crew 6.5' at what it weighs. I used to have an F250 4x4 HD regular cab that weighed less than this truck. I have towed trailers of comparable weight and this 1/2 ton tows better than that "heavier" truck did.

I believe the F150 weighs around 5600-5800. My old diesel only weighed 7k, not really much of a difference.

No, just going by the thinner sheetmetal and the overall feel it has. The doors actually flex when you close them. The 2005 just felt stroger and tougher.

First of all mine are both Supercrews. It would not surprise me that the 2011 is heaver, because it is bigger, but I know the door skins and hood are thinner, lighter. It feels lighter going down the highway, but that can be suspension differences. It is also lower from the factory.

1,200 to 1,400 pounds is not much of a difference? That's a HUGE difference!

Yep, due for a refresh for 2013-

Thats the spy shot. Note how the grille is going the route of the super duty. A photoshop rendering-

Love it or hate it, it will be a big change in the way the F150 looks.

You may be right. You can probably bet the 2011 suspension is better than the 2005. Steel composition and design is always getting better. It wouldnt surprise me if the skins of the vehicle were thinner seeing as how vehicles get destroyed in crashes these days. But I worked in stamping plant before and i dont see how they go really go any thinner than they already are.
