I'm just glad I won't be in the market for a new truck for another 8-10 years.
Thats a good thing. With a ford you shouldn't have to. You shouldn't have to trade in your truck every time a new style comes out like some people do. I'm not trying to offend the people that do its just that for me I get so attached to the truck I have that I wouldn't want to keep trading in every 2 or 3 years. Plus they are supposed to be built to last.

Maybe Ford will actually design something appealing by the time I'll be in the market again.

Nothing personal, but it's going to take ALOT more then a nice set of taillights to get me to put down 40K+ on my next truck.

I don't know about hype. I never minded the Ram, but it was never my first pick. IMO Ford really hasn't left me with much of an option. From what I've read the newly updated 5.7 Hemi promises to deliver 380HP and 404lbs of torque with a 5% increase in fuel mileage. Couple that with a 5 speed manu-matic transmission and the new Ram's 5 link coil sprung rear suspension which features outside of the frame shock absorbers for optimum damping. A nicer, smoother ride and less movement in the axle when accelerating equals more power to the ground.

Funny when I registered for this forum 7 years ago I don't recall reading that I had to be positive with every thread?

If we don't let them know what we want, they won't build it.

I can't buy my Dodge yet, it's not for sale. You'll just have to put up with me for another year.

I feel the same as you, I have never actually minded a Ram. I was actaully looking at a 03 2500 4X4 Cummins, but I just couldn't justify that much money for something I didn't really need at the time.

As for the 5% increase in mileage, so that means they will get 12.6mpg instead of 12? 2 of my neighbors have 1500 quad cab 4X4's with the Hemi and both are getting right around the 12 mark, the one neighbor also Durango and he said that only gets 11mpg.

Are you some kind of forum police? I didn't realize that there was a limit to my post. Could you please explain the rules to me. I was under the impression that this is the place to voice my opinions/concerns.

I realize that the fuel mileage increase from the updated 5.7L Hemi is marginal at best, but when you consider that this was accomplished at the same time Dodge was able to boost the HP by 10% I think its noteworthy.

And as for Bluesun, there were 4 minutes between those posts. Is that any better?

Yeah, like FOUR-expletive deleted-HUNDRED and freaking FOUR lb-ft of torque on the Hemi, and the 2008 F150 can still out tow it and out haul it by a TON.

Thanks, Richard.
