Oh well, I didn't like the old NBS f150 at first either, but I still bought one. Now if that diesel ever becomes available.......

......say Derek, how much taller would you estimate the overall cab height is of the 09 vs a comparable 04-08 model ....2-3 inches?...more? thx.

& i guess the clay body is an option then?....good anti-corrosion i suppose.

No thanks. I'm glad I've got the extended warranty on my '04 as I don't plan on trading it in for the '09. First impression is I like the headlights and taillights but they don't flow right with the rest of the unchanged body. I'm sure I'll have other opinions after these picts soak in.

Now the new '09 Dodge Ram....dare I say, (and I've been a Ford truck guy for the last 20+ years), that's a sweet looking truck.

Those are over-riders on the bumper for protection. They give toughness and protection at the same time. I learned about it by watching these videos.

Also, somebody asked about the box side step. This guy demonstrates it in the videos. You just depress it with your foot and it automatically pops right out. Cool.

Perhaps the emblem only sticks out if you get the Backup Camera option?

Those videos were great, thanks Jalopnik!

I have a feeling we may still be waiting awhile for all the small details, such as the exact differences say, between the KR and P editions.

But hopefully we'll get more info about cool new gadgets and stuff soon. Heated/cooled cupholders? Storage areas for jumper cables? Stuff like that. Sounds like the P edition should have a ton of cool gadgets. Will be interesting to see how differentiated the editions are with SEVEN of them now! XL, STX, XLT, FX4, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. How diff can each one be? Does the KR have heated seats, but the Platinum have heated and COOLED seats? It'll be interesting to find out what all the differences are, and then decide if the price diff matches the options differences, or not.

So exciting!!!

Oh, that weird yellow/gold color sucks. I think it's the only thing I've seen so far I didn't like. Wonder what other colors will be availbe other than what we've seen. And how the diff colors will look on the P edition, with that large chrome sheet across the tailgate.

Looks like I'll be jumping ship to a superduty for sure. That exterior styling is great. Interior is great as well. EXCEPT for the radio display, layout, etc. I cannot stand that one bit, nor the new transformer vents. It doesn't appear to accomodate aftermarket head units very well but we'll see, a double din unit is important to me. That is a huge hit for me, does anyone else feel the same? I'm just disappointed that wasn't better, I'm still viewing pics so my opinion could change but I bought my exact current truck based on the interior alone. Ford made a statement with the 04 body style's interior, not so much this time around. Those buttons look awfully dated.

Edit, I'm coming around as I watch a few more videos, but it definitely could have been better. GM and Dodge both have stylish buttons, guess we can't have everything. I think it's going to be a nice truck, can't wait to test drive. I can't wait to see the bed storage they have to offer.

At least put 4V heads on that 5.4L! A naturally aspirated 5.4 4V will put out at least 390HP.
