Help me decide with pics!! Tire/lift- combo

Hi, I have an 07 4x4

I am getting bigger tires and lifting. I have searched all over the site and everybody has provided a wealth of info on what will fit (thank-you for that). So I know I want either 275/*60* r20 OR 275/*65* r20 (looks will make my final decision).

However, it appears most people go with a higher level than what I think I may go for. I am leaning toward either a stand-alone 1" front level (5100 shocks) or a 1" lift all the way around (again 5100 all the way around or maybe 3" blocks)--- (I like a slight rake look)

Has anyone done this with the aforementioned tire sizes; and do you have photos? I just want to see how it looks so I know what I like before I drop serious money and regret what I did.

Thanks!!

Bilstein 5100's in front, set at 1".

Bilstein in the rear, raised the back 0.5"

Running 275/60R20's on stock wheels.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Hawkz.

What are the setting options on the 5100? is it stock, 1", and 2"?

And what tires are those? I like the look you ended up with!!

And, how does it ride? I'm all road so I need some softness for potholes but want to be able to take corners!! LOL

I honestly don't remember all the Bilstein settings, but you can easily look on the website and find out.

The tires I use are Copper LTZ's, they are a hybrid all terrain and street tire. I ride 90% highway so they are great for me.

The ride is great. The tires are made for mainly street so they ride roads and handle very well, 10 times better than the stock Pirelli's I had. The only "issue" is that they are made for sport/street and they aren't offered in anything over 33". Next time I get tires, I might get the same LTZ's in 305/55R20 they would look really good I think(I'd need wider wheels though).

Thanks Again Hawkz.

I'll look into those LTZs as they sound perfect for me as I have been leaning toward the 275/60/20s so I don't kill my mileage with the bigger 65.

But I don't want a huge gap in my wheel wells, which is why I am torn between the 2" and 3" level setting as people have said they get differing results and I want to maintain at least a .5" rake to the front.

If I use a 275/65, i'm definitely going 2" level, but the 1" looks good with those 33s

Are those bilsteins or ranchos stiffer than the stock shocks? I don't want stiffer, that's for sure!!

Yes they are a bit firmer, because they are better shocks. I love the ride. If you hit a bump it rebounds instantly.

It's not mushy like stock. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Well, I'm ordering in the next week.

Bilstein 5100. Front and rear.
Goodyear SR-A 275/60R20

I am going to have the front shocks installed at the same time I am getting the passenger side exhaust manifold leak repaired. I'll do the rears myself when I get it back.

I am leaning toward the 1" level (mid setting on the 5100), but would still love to see more pictures if anyone out there has them.

Lastly, should I replace my front coil springs as well?

Thanks
