Official what did you do to your truck today thread.
I broke my deal of leaving it locked up and out of the salt roads till spring. My bud and his woman bought a house so I helped them move and haul things down to their new place. Truck didn't get dirty or wet at least. And the dust and/or dirt and hay in the bed will clean out. They were thankful for my helping hand and I felt good using my truck as a truck.
It's back in the garage now.

new to thread. just replaced tires after excessive wear at 12k miles on a 2012 F-150 I really didn't notice that they were Hankook Dynapro until I went to post them on Craigslist. Does Ford use these tires for new trucks? I'm guilty of not rotating, but the wear was rediculous. I started thinking that I got a bait and switch at the dearer. thanks for any help Dan

As for Hankook being provided to Ford, I am not sure. Mostly it is BFGoodrich, Goodyear, and Pirelli.

Swapped out the horn yesterday. Got one off ebay for a 01-11 crown vic. I didnt have my OEM bracket but this one still bolted on just fine. Plugged right in. Sounds just like the original horn but at half the cost.

truck has been stumbling and sluggish for a while. i ran some bg 44k through it (ingested in the intake) and got some smoke out of it to clean carbon, and it started mis-firing a little more frequently. so i ran it around for a day with my technician buddies laptop hooked to it and watched the power balance, and found cyl 1 and 5 were weak and occasionally misfiring, so i put a coil and plug in cyl 1 and 5 and its like a brand new truck. much more smooth and has allot more get up and go. very pleased.
starting to cup tires, so im going to order my quick lifts here soon and do an alignment, probably throw upper control arms on it again.
been great other than that. had to put a radiator in it a while ago, 125k i thought it would do better. oh well.

I'm dealing with that now. In OD at 40-45 truck is awful till I get close to 60mph and trying to accelerate. Going to do plugs and all new COPS again this spring. Shakes at idle too. Just trying to get my car first.

Went to the shop to get abs light checked as it keeps coming on during normal driving conditions. Apparently its a bad sensor, getting it put in tomorrow. Also going to swap out the fuel injectors and cops soon. Can anyone post any links to threads about this? I can't seem to find much how-to for this.
Hauled my bass over to a friends studio for a jam session. Then remembered how badly I play...
Finally got up off my butt and swapped out that failed bank1 VCT solenoid. That is NOT a pretty job...
I have been changing oil at way before recommended intervals, and using sythetics since day 1 but there is some nasty buildup in there... Any suggestions for an internal engine clean that actually works that won't totally screw things up?
I was thinking going the seriously old school route with Marvel Mystery Oil but wasn't sure if there was something newer on the market that works...
Like always, if you want a chuckle about my projects, it's up on my workshop blog...
