How to- Interior LEDs
Find some cheap switches and sent them my way and I'll do them.
Yeah I'd just turn down the dimmer switch a little.
x2 bookmarked. I want to do this so bad but I have to find the time.
What would you estimate the total cost and work time for this would be? I would love to go either blue or white, but I don't know if the Gryphon display will go solid white. I haven't tried yet.
Exactly, THANK YOU!

I would estimate anywhere from 70-100 for total cost, depending on how much you want to experiment and depending if you like the color the first time. It also depends on how you decide to do the cluster because there are several different ways to do it some just cost more then others and looks better. As far as time I would say I got all the switches minus cluster done in about 3 hours, with people interrupting a lot, though I work on soldering little parts for fun all the time since I build circuit board, so it also depends on your knowledge. And then on the cluster I would say anywhere from 30 minutes up to 4 hours because there are so many ways of doing it. I will say the 30 minute way looks horrible and I wouldn't want it in my truck.
Haha will do, thanks. I know I either want white or blue, but I don't think the Gryphon display goes white so I'll probably stick with blue. The only question lingering is how to do the main cluster.
Yes but there are 600 shades of blue or white
so be careful of that. And for the cluster which way sounds like the way you want to do it? With 3 or 5mm led and breadboard, smd led and a piece of plastic, or making your own pcb board? Cause I will eventually have a write-up for the first two, it's just a matter of finding the times to do it.

So you have all the time for planning to plan to buy the stuff?
Cause I know that was my problem, then I just went for it over winter break, that's where the real time came in.

been working on my dash.. used the prewired LEDs from ebay that replce the factory lights.
working on making my own needles.. its alot easier now that I have a dremel lol

speedo, tach and fuel. Fuel guage is too big and angled wrong but now that I have a dremel, theyre coming out better.
edit: also, with the exception of the odometer, the only dead spot is the tach from 1500-4500, and not as bad as the pic shows it.. same with odom.. pic looks worse than real life.
