Hey, you stole my idea. lol. But what color did you do your controls? And the one thing I'm still deciding is to do the circuit board as 6 different parts so it is able to be used with all the f150 models or one. Still up in the air. But ya I'm doing mine with the plcc-2 leds and it is a lot nicer.

white

yeah i like the plcc-2 alot more then the 3-5mm leds, its more "white" and not like a "hid white" im going to redo all my switches with them, actually i have found those little tiny ones in the door lock and window switches i might try those. the 6 circuit boards is a good idea i never thought of that, but might be easier to mount if its just one board

Ya the one thing I would watch out for is the leds being two different colors, unless your buying from the same seller for the different leds cause I have them from different sellers and most aren't the same color, like I never knew there were 600 different shades of the same blue. lol. But the other nice thing about the plcc-2 leds is the viewing range so it creates a lot less hot spots.

Yep that's what happened to me when I used the 1206 leds, they didn't match the plcc-2 and 3mm I had used.

Ya they would look perfectly stock except for the color and the light output. which would still be dim-able but would be brighter with less "hot spots." And maybe I'll get to finish putting up pictures of the rest of the how to tomorrow, since it finally stopped raining and I'm not in class or working tomorrow. But that's what I was figuring was sell the circuit boarding for the people who are afraid of the extra soldering and/ or don't have the time. I should have the circuit board layout done tonight, and then its just a matter of producing them, so I would probably see how interested people are first.

Carolinaboy32: Is your truck an FX4? Because if it is could you possibly get some shots with of the cluster, so I can tell how to do a board that would work for all the different trim levels because right now I can only make one for my trim, XLT.

Cool thanks man! Depending on how easy it is I might be willing to give you one at the cost it is to me, right now it is looking pretty good for you though since I am buying everything in sets of 2 and since you seem to be the person most interested you be the person who would get the 2nd set since it doesn't take too much more to make a second one.

Unfortunately I don't at the moment because I have the first board I made in my truck right now (first one is missing the needles of most of the gauges and some of the gauges aren't lit up right now) , I'm waiting on the resistor for the second board, the third board basically the same as the first just with wide angle leds ( I abandoned this one because I didn't like the color of the leds), and circuit which I will be making is still in the works. So in short I don't have any pictures of it all lit up; however, if you want to see the first one with the stuff missing I can go get some pictures of that, since the other boards are almost identical to that one just a little dimmer.

Oh with this cluster the blue lights up the backseat, it is too bright for my tastes.
