threw P0175 code this morning, Ideas?

Good point!
I know I know... Y'all don't have to tell me twice it's bs. I have been on the phone all morning with no luck. Everyone keeps telling me that bc the trucks computer shows there was a programmer st one time that ford will reject it as warranty work.
The cost is ridiculous too.. The labor rate is 98 bucks an hour and each injector is 52 bucks. The service guy estimated about 5 hours of work

It is known that evidence of a tuner ALWAYS void the warranty, even when dealing with these known issues like the injectors. It is also known that you cant just remove the Edge and have all evidence go away. It needs to be driven a while in stock form to prevent the computer from showing evidence of a tuner. At least that is what I have heard, not 100% on that.
Again, totally sucks and I'm sorry. But could have been miles worse.
While I'm really sorry for you and this whole situation really sucks, the way I see it you are VERY lucky my friend. Why? Because your engine is going to be okay. What if your engine needed replacement and you had to foot THAT bill? Ouch.

Oh no doubt it could have been worse, I'm thankful it was not. I also knew they would know i had the edge, I remember reading way back when the arguments about weather or not it was stored in the PCM. It is
I ws really just hoping that the edge would be a non issue since this is a sort of recall..I spent most of the day trying to find out why a faulty injector problem is voided by the edge, when this is an issue from day one of the trucks existance. Basically its a recall, but they dont want to mess with it unless its broken is what i figured.
In short, if you have an 05 with the injector letter and a tuner, beware! Hopefully your dealer is a little cooler about mods than mine is being. I understand voiding warrantys with mods, but that is what the moss-magnuson act is for. They have to prove the mod caused the failure before they can throw out the warranty, but i guess that does not apply here cause i asked about that too till i was blue in the face today...
Truck is still at the dealer, they thought it was done but I guess not. Shows you what the service advisor knows... I think the bill us up around 5-600 right now. It will probably only grow cause I told them to just pull the others and check them out too.
No Good Matt!!!
I would of told the dealer to get ! Would of been cheaper for a tow back, new injectors, and a few beers to install them.

Quintin are you a Ford Service Tech? Or is anywhere here a Ford tech? Someone somewhere surely knows if the PCMs history shows a tuner has been installed and if so how long does it hold that info.
It's almost as if Ford has a devious plan. Install a rediculous program that detunes the truck till it is pathetic, forcing any self respecting driver to install a tuner, which voids the warranty, whether it has anything to do with the problem or not. I wish someone had the funds and interest to contest it in court.

Guys, You dont have to tell me twice that this blew hard!
I got hosed and then some, but I can gurantee it will never happen again. I realize I have almost no use for the warranty anymore since I have modded alot of the truck, but I still cant get over how this is a 'recall type issue' known to be a problem from the factory and it gets laid on me...
I got the truck back and the dealer was a little help. I pushed the buttons that I do tend to give them props when I go to shows. The minute they saw the truck all finished they wanted to know if i would be willing to let people know where i buy my trucks from, and I agreed to spread the word asking for nothing in return really. I ended up paying 355 bucks of a 578 dollar bill, they let me have the oil change for free
anyway, truck is back in service and I plan on doing plugs and all the other injectors ASAP!

That's nice of them. Sort of, but that does suck. Good luck with the plugs and other injectors.
well at least they did, SOME! i would have laughed when they asked about where you buy your trucks from, then i would said, "what do you mean, my new 09 ain't coming from here" and then toodled out the door...never to been seen again
that's like when i bought mine new, i specifically said, "if there is a little stick on the back saying "EAU CLAIRE FORD" i won't sign for it until it's gone" i absolutely hate that, i know it's there free advertising but do it to someone elses truck

I highly doubt I buy from them again unless i go with another f150 to replace this one when the time comes, they don't have a great selection of diesel trucks at all. They have a million f150's though. At this time my plan is to replace this one with a f250 in a couple of years, hopefully when the new 6.7L scorpion motor gets put into the SD's
I love the look of the 08-09 F250s when they are lifted way up though!

yea i hear ya about the selection, where i bought mine has like 40 f150's and like 4 f250's. yea my dealer was super, they got me my truck from outta state, had it lined, tires put on and everything in 4 days, i was impressed. but i was also using the x-plan and i got some executive guy to help me out, i lost my pin that i had and he called me on a friday night at like 7 when me and the misses were out having fish, i was quite impressed.
i don't even take the edge out when i gotta take the truck in, if they wanna bitch about it, feel free, the family buys enough cars there, if they wanna be difficult, we can always buy elsewhere.

i normally just take the display out when i go to the dealer for oil changes and such. When work is getting done it goes back to stock and comes out.
When I bought mine we had an A-plan, trade in, insurance check for hail damage (in bank), texas truck month & employee pricing... Hell it was just about everything under the sun. Even got a bit more off for paying cash. I want to say the sticker said between 36-38K, dont quote me on that though. I walked away with the truck for just under 23k, I was not complaining at all!
