At least it didn't happen while you were driving it.

I laughed and read him the entire recall notice letter. He is just another new idiot to deal with there..
Wow, I already dislike your dealership!

Man, I was afraid of that! When it starts those symtems, you just have to not even try to start it. Hopefully, there was no damage.

I thought I was going to be okay, it has only been started maybe 4 times since it has gotten bad. My bad judgement though..

Did y'all get the dreaded letter too? I always hoped it would not happen.

I doubt it had anything to do with this, but the last 4 tanks of gas I have ran was that new shell gas. I just noticed that when I was digging through stuff trying to figure out if it could have been something I was doing, or started doing that could have caused it..

that does sound kinda suspicious, could be just a fluke, or maybe not.

I had one break and sling #4 rod through the oil pan when it hydrolocked. Another broke the starter while cranking. I saw another that broke all the rocker arms and valve springs on cylinder 2 with a stuck open injector.

Fun times.

Good news and bad news... Dealer was able to tear into it this morning. The motor was locked up but thankfully nothing is broken yet. The bad news is because of the edge programmer I get to foot the bill. All the injectors on the second bank where messed up... Two of which where stuck open completely. It's always something, but I can't say I didn't see the edge conflicting with the warranty though.

Nope, no letter for me! Doesn't mean I won't have the problem.
