My guess is that he did some sort of the same setup that people do with their Christmas lights, sychronizing it to the music. But I honestly don't know.

He got a couple "ShowMe" controllers and wired it all up himself. That's all he'd say on it. I'm guessing a lot of time and head scratching lol

Rather than ordering new lights I went to an area parts scrap yard and got a set off a 1988 - 1998 body style Chev. I took the lights and the wiring harness too. Saved me the hassle of wiring up each light. It all came together then. Just connected the pos. and neg. wires and it was ready. Plus they only cost me $15 total. Also I had gotten some Nite-shade and tinted them. Turned out great.

I installed LED cab lights that where already smoked and brand new cost me about $35 for the lights and then another $10 for the 18 guage wiring from Radio Shack. Not as cheap but not the same cost as the Recon lights that on average cost $70 for the lights only.

those Chevy lights look pretty good for a Junkyard score

btw, I only paid $84 for my newest smoked Recon lights for this truck. It came with the lights and the entire harness. Worth it for the extra $10 vice the non harness version. I think I paid $74 for the Recon lights on the F-150 I started this thread with 3-4 yrs ago
