I'm usually pretty cool about buying tools...but they want $29 for the tool, and $10 for shipping. Seeing that put the Ebeneazer upon me.

ended up finding something that worked though. a plastic spatula and an entire bottle of rubbing alcohol. The doors pristine finally.

Thanks though

Those are the OEM Ford TTT mirrors... before they were making the newer SuperDuty style they are making now. They basically are the same as the ones Schefenacker makes, only the lens cover for the marker/signal lights is clear instead of amber. Here's an article trytokeepup did on them
appreciate the info

Very good post.
Thanks for taking the time to show us how you did it. Particularly how you wired it in.

Thanks for the thread, it looks great!!!. I have been thinking about these lights since the first day I bought my truck. My truck is levelled with 33" tires so it sits higher than some trucks that have the lights stock, so I don't think it'll look bad. With the smoked lens, it would almost blend in with the black...hmmm....

If you get a chance i want to see what these look like off at a distance. Maybe 50 yards or something. Like others have mentioned, you may have created the latest "I HAVE TO HAVE THOSE!!" mod on F150online. Nice Job.

When are you gonna come do mine then?

Do you have a set? Whenever you get them let me know and I will help out. It's not that hard. Most kits will even give you a template to lay out on the top of your truck. But like Tylus said, you measure, check, measure, check, and measure one more time before drilling into your roof. The wiring is probably the hardest part of the install. My friend has had the ones on his Dodge for 3 years now with no problems. I did put some extra silicone under the headliner to protect a little extra for the potential leaks.

Don't have a set... Yet. They're on the "to buy" list which is about a mile wrong and tons of $$$ short. And currently my brake problem with the truck is eating up my extra $$$.

it can be iffy. they work for my truck because of the white/black theme I have going on.

I don't think this will work on a solid white...or solid red truck. The black would look out of place IMO. Best I can say is to try and test fit 'em. You know they'll sell if you're not happy with the look

that could look good...I like the thought of a light that isn't really visable unless lit up
