No joke..
You stated the obvious. The car is a Neon, doesnt share much with the other model Neons, but at the end of the day, most of the neons will WALK a good majority of the cars on the road.
Also dont forget that the new GT500 KR is just the same as those rental car V6 mustangs at hertz..

they are quick little deathtraps, but as I said, at the end of the day, it's a NEON
It’s also kind of funny that many skittle owners were complaining about the looks of the new Caliber SRT4 when it first was revealed because even though I think the Caliber SRT4 looks like a mutt, it’s significantly better looking than those skittles. But performance wise, the skittles are probably the best bang for your buck if you are looking for a low cost performance car. Stock, they run in the low 14’s. With the stage 3 kit, they run in the low 12’s.
If you classify something rice because of a wing and a turbo, you are sad. Also research what exactly rice is, and also note the Neon is a Domestic.

Some like them, some don't. I prefer the Neon SRT-4's style but would still drive the caliber.
Also mid-high 13's are what a properly driven stock SRT can do (13.6 is the record I believe) and depending on the supporting mods (they all have them) high 11's with Stage 3 is possible.
The First SRT-4 to break into the 10's was Stage 3 and it pulled a 10.8...
They take to mods VERY well and when you start off with 230FWHP it's a great platform.
You make yourself look pretty stupid with statements like that. You obviously are not into the compact performance scene, and you seem to know nothing about the SRT-4.

neons are pretty fast for stock cars, i just dont like them..
when i had my civic i would go out a drive just to look for one to smash on, my car looked stock, sleeper status, i liked the look on their faces when they got spanked lol

LMFAO.........

So, if you have a REAL number, as in a VERY specific "487hp", then post up that "proven" dyno run.
Let's see that Dyno sheet with the Civic listed as the vehicle.
Never seen a 19yr old with the funds to WASTE on building a civic drive train capable of withstanding nearly 500hp.
Let those less mechanically inclined know that it takes a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT more $$$$$ to get 500hp out of a civic 4 cylinder. Sure, any turd can spray a 300shot of the gas, but that same turd won't make it to the end of the 1/4 mile w/out a bunch of parts belched onto the track in the form of rods, pistons and tranny internals.....
Yeah, whatever.....total BS.

Either the OP has seriously DEEEEP pockets coupled with a complete lack of sense, or he just fabricated that number. Based on this thread in general, my money's on the 2nd.....
How about a 751hp one?

There is a difference between a ricer and a tuner btw...
But yeah, it's still a Civic and it still sucks.

look bro, im still 19, and i got a $42k truck, what makes u think i didnt have 10k to built a civic?? really.. ill get the dyno sheets as soon as i get them, i gave them to the new owner which is my fiances brother who now lives in utah..
I'll believe it when I see it Jr.
A 500hp Civic , and u didn't keep a copy of that dyno pull....LOL...sure. A 500hp civic is something to behold, regardless of the fact that it's no where near streetable.....
In case you need to know what one looks like, here's mine :

BTW, My 527RWHP was on a most ULTRA conservative tune. Let me break it down for ya :
That was accomplished with ONLY 7 lbs of boost, at ONLY 6000RPM, with ONLY 19 total dgrees of advance and an AFR of ONLY 11:1.
If you know anything about racing, then you'll know what those numbers signify. For those less knowledgeable, spin that puppy to 7grand (= more boost), crank up the timing and lean out the AFR and were talking at LEAST another 100, possibly 150RWHP. Why "de-tune" it you may ask.
It's a factory block. Ford small blocks are notorious for splitting down the middle anything beyond 625-650hp at RPMs in excess of 6000RPM. So, until I get a Dart block (or the new Boss block from FMS), it stays at 527RWHP and under 6000RPM....
Oh well, guess I'll live with low 10,s/high 9's and 24mpg!

You CLAIM 478FWHP from a 4 cylinder Civic. You MIGHT have that in the motor ALONE (478 RELIABLE FWHP would STILL be a stretch on $10K). Then you have to dump more $$$ into the tranny, half shafts, oh and lets not forget the structural integrity of the body. Roll cages & frames aren't free either.
You're try'n to snow the WRONG person here partner....

I wanna see pics of this car, and a dyno sheet. So let's hear how you sold it to your baby sisters cousins friends aunt.....Still can't imagine you have no pics nor copies of the dyno to shut loud mouths like me up.

Two things wrong...
First, a Honda Civic is unibody. Horrible for high horsepower applications.
Secondly, a Honda Civic is front wheel drive. 500 hp is pointless when your weight shifts to the rear under hard acceleration, leaving the front tires with nothing but air and a few pebbles.
If you think the image below looks normal, then you are a die-hard front wheel drive maniac.

I prefer my vehicles to be pushed rather than pulled.
