Weekend Project

I always wanted to lower my truck some, I don't need the height of a 4x4. So I went to stylin concepts and bought these.

They are belltech lowering shocks, supposed to give +1 lift down to -2 drop, depending on how many rings you put on. and a pair of DJM lowering shackles.

After install, I ended up with a 3" drop in the front, and 1.5" in the rear. Not what I was expecting. I was looking for a 2/2 drop, I was allready within .5" of being level by just removing the rear blocks. My measured height before 37.25" F/37.625" R after 34.25" F/36" R

After the install F/R

So far I only took it around the block just to make sure there was no vibe in the rear, if there would have been then I would have to add some shims. All is well. I still need to get it in for an alignment.

The boards have to stay, the wife needs them to get in. As for the wheels, I'd like too, but this is Cleveland. We get potholes around here that can swallow a car, besides any less sidewall would be like riding a buckboard around here.

Lowering a FX-4 is like a well endowed girl getting a breast reduction......It's just wrong!..........
