Well, it turns out I don't need Mark's service.. The truck I was getting got damaged in their wash and prep stage so they ended up getting another truck from another dealer with the Nav in it.. I read the manual online and it says something about voice recognition, but I see no button on the 07 Lariat... Am I missing something?

Am/FM antenna Adapter

So, to put a 2007 factory Nav unit in a 2006 F-150, I will need to get an AM/FM antenna adapter?

Is this what I will need???

NAV antenna location

Which side is UP on the NAV antenna? I assume the black plastic piece faces up and not the metal piece?

How have you guys been fastening the antenna, and to what?

Thats how I have mine oriented. I used a plastic zip tie to secure it to the metal frame near the top of the dash. I'm not sure where the factory was mounting them but I haven't had any reception problems.

I am very interested in this item. Do you include a GPS disk or where and for how much can one be obtained? Also does this unit work like other aftermarket units where it can play DVDs or be made to play DVD's? How do I go forward in making the purchase from you?

Thanks

oreokid - the factory nav system will NOT play DVD's, it is solely a DVD-Ram drive. if you need a disk for testing purposes i can mostly likely make a copy for you. to be legal you only can use it for 'testing'.

Ok the website there i cant really open but it appears they make a product that will allow an external source to play through the factory navigation. Does anyone have experiance with this or better yet has anyone been able to get their factory unit to play dvds?

Thanks again everyone.
