I have a quick question that im pretty sure i already have the answer to by reading a few of your responses. i just wanna make sure.
The Ford unit is a direct (besides programming) plug in correct?
So does that mean we have all the speed sensor, direction.. etc already prewired on our 04-06 F150 radio plug?
I ask because i will soon be adding a kenwood nav unit to my existing ddx 6015 and i really dont wanna go chasing down wires on the fusebox/comp. If they are already there then it would make it easier on me.
Thanks

It was also cheaper than the aftermarket solutions that I looked at. You can also send a unit that you already have purchased and have him reprogram it for a fee. But contrary to popular belief, there is no wiring changes needed, just reprogramming of the head unit. By the way....Dom's number is 1 (781) 721-0092. Hope that helps
Do you think I need this re-program and can you tell me the cost of sending this to get re-program?
TIA
Thank you.

Bruinman and speedyracer the ford nav antenna is very inexpensive and should be the one that you use. You will not get a clock without a nav disc. It uses gps for the clock. Ozcar2 I would stay away from that retailer because he is listing completely incorect info right on the description. A mercury mariner cannot even physically accept that size radio and the mustang is not electronically compatible. The 06 expedition is also not the right size radio. These radios must be programed to the specific vehicle model for which it is being used or it WILL NOT WORK!! Also if the radio has been previosly configured with one of the eq curves that radio cannot be easily reconfigured for a different car. EBAY BUYERS BEWARE.
ps bruinman dom is not a member so don't expect him to respond but I am and can be reached at Micorp @ 800-245-6691 ask for Mark

This is a link to a .pdf of the owners manual for the Nav in the 2007 F-150

The clock is mentioned on page 28, under System Features. It says make sure the Navigation system is turned on, press Menu, press Date/Time

The manual mentions the system has an Aux input capability for an iPod, etc. Since the <2007 F-150s do not have an aux input jack, can one be easily added to the back of this system? Can you get an extension cable that plugs into the back of the nav system and then route it to the glove box, or where ever?

I just purchased a Ford Navigation system from the dealer I work for. Everything plugged in fine and the unit works. What does having the unit programmed do for you? Also, it doesn't seem to fit properly with my center dash panel. The top won't snap in. Thanks for your help. Dave

To get it to fit properly, you can dremel out the gray plastic behind the mounting tabs. If you dremel it out to the bare metal, it gains just enough for the top to snap in and look right. Hope that helps.

I was hoping it would fit without any issues.
