06 Stx Limited Edition

Hello Guys,
My 1st post on an F150 site, and I'm starting with a question. Wednesday we purchased an 06 Red STX SuperCab Flareside as my company vehicle. The interesting issue is that the truck is an STX Limited Edition 1 of 250. It has items not available on an STX such as all windows are power including rear doors; remote keyless entry; chrome pipe running boards; chrome F150 bug shield; and 20" very upscale wheels to list a few items.
The truck has a "Chrome Edition" 3-D emblem on the tailgate and "Limited Edition 1 of 250" 3-D emblems on the front and rear fenders. The "STX" decal on the rear fenders also includes a "Limited Edition" emblem.
Are any of you familiar with this truck? I tend to be lucky with vehicle picks as our 05 Mustang GT turned out to be #905 built/serialized for the new Mustang generation. Is this truck really "special" or just a promo stunt?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Redd Man

I saw one of these limited edition STX's yesterday, it looked real nice. I noticed that the wheels looked different.

Countryboy04,
The truck came from Natchez Ford Lincoln Mercury. I notice you also are a MSU fan as are we. Our son is a Sr. @ State and will start grad school next spring.
Where did you see the STX? Maybe it's a MS production or southern Ford dealer sp. editions? It has me curious -- as anyone can see -- as this will be my personal work vehicle, but will become a high mileage vehicle fairly quickly as I put about 24,000 a year on a vehicle.
Thanks for the quick response. If you find anything further or want to follow up on my questions, it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Never heard of that edition. In New England there is a special edition STX,the 06 Roush Champions Edition STX.They didn't come w/power options or flaresides. They made several thousand Champion Edition STXs.The Roush pkg. is the same as on my 06 Roush Champions Edition XLT (1 of 1000)The pkg. consists of Roush 20" chrome wheels, billet style grill,Roush exhaust tip, chrome 5"oval step bars, fog lights,Champions Edition emblems.I removed the Champ. Edition emblems the day I bought my truck.

I heard of the STX Limited addition, but never saw what they look like at all yet.

so bassically, you have an STX, which has almost everything that makes up an XLT?? Whats the difference from STX Limited, and XLT then?

I saw one of these at a dealership in central louisiana. Very nice truck. The sticker on that baby was $31,000. I wish I had seen it before I bought mine.

Is the 'Limited' portion part of an aftermarket 'add-on' kit that someone out there is doing or is it rolling out of the factory like this?

These trucks do not show up on the ford website when you try to build it. It definitely comes from the factory. I spoke to the dealer (I know they make many mistakes) and I looked at the truck. It had factory power windows(just like the XLT) and the audiophile system with subwoofer. If it was a dealer add-on, then how can they say thier are only 1 of 250.

Most of the vehicles like this are special run from the factory just for a certain market. i.e. California Edition, or I have seen Arizona Editions, as well as special trucks badged with Texas and the NASCAR Editions. Most of the options come from the factory, the badges or special paint may be put on by the dealer or a specialty shop.

Sounds like a nice truck. I'd like to see one in person.
