Nice truck !!! .

ALRIGHT !!! Glad to see some others finding these Limited Editions and parking them in the driveway. I love the black -- the other one on the lot here in Natchez is also black -- I got red because of the company name "REDD" -- all of our trucks are red except one F350 - White -- couldn't find a red one at the time.
These are fine trucks -- I've got almost 3000 mi on mine now after 2 1/2 weeks -- and it's been a pleasure to drive. I'm adding mud flaps today to try and protect the chrome running boards from street/road rash.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have so far.

Hello All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just recently purchased an 06 STX Scab that has all of the factory power options. I was surprised as well that it came with them, but it indeed did. Mine is black with the styleside bed, and has power windows, locks, cruise, and keyless entry. It is not the limited edition by any means, but it isn't much short of an XLT. I think the limited edition STX is nice and all, but really the only thing that I would like off of it are the 20 inch rims. I do think it is a slick looking truck though.......

BlackSTX, that is very surprising that your truck isnt any kind of special edition and is loaded out like that, almost sounds like someone possibly special ordered it and then didnt take delivery of it maybe? If they would offer all the power options along with the carpet delete like these trucks are I think they would sell a bunch, I know so many guys that just dont want carpet in their trucks.

What are y'alls thoughts on the chrome bug deflector thats on these trucks?? I myself think it looks like crap, but my wife likes it along with about everybody that has seen the truck. Maybe I am just a minority here, but I think it would look much cleaner and sleeker without it. I may have to sneak outside one day and take it off without her knowing what I am doing

power options are avaliable on 06 stx's.i went to the dealer today looking around and they had three stx's with power options.one was a regular cab and the other two were super cabs.one flareside one style side.on the window sticker on all it had an option package that list for a little over $1000.00.from what i could tell this included power windows and locks speed control and all the trucks had tachs.the trucks without the option didn't have tachs or power windows i didn't look for speed control.i'll have to check my broucher again but its wrong or sometime during the year ford let the power option be ordered on the stx.which kinda pisses me off because if i knew i could get a truck like i saw. a red reg.cab ftx style side with power and a tach i would have bought one instead of my xlt.

 

I like chrome. But if that were the only chrome piece, I'd paint it to match the truck.

 

Personally I like the truck just as it was bought except -- there's always an "except" with car/truck folks -- I added molded Ford mud flaps to protect the chrome runningboards from road rash. I also added a self-dimming mirror with temp and compass and the MP3/6-Disc radio (came with MP3 single disc). I love the 20" wheels/tires, the chrome tube runningboards and the power mirrors. I also personally like the look of the chrome bugshield along with the runningboards and Alcoa wheels -- makes a nice match IMHO. The only other thing I'm seriously considering is window tint all around to help the truck cool off quicker here in the MS/LA 98+ degree heat with 98+ humidity. Any help there is always appreciated, and our 05 black GT tinting really helps in that department.
What I know for sure ------ I'm really enjoying the truck !!!
