Because I have seen two of these trucks in Louisiana, one in Bunkie and one in Lafayette.
Yep, guilty as charged --- I live in Louisiana, but the truck was bought in Natchez, MS where there is a black Limited Edition STX still sitting on the lot waiting for a brand new owner. I did the red one since all of our fleet vehicles (except 1 2002 F150 -- long story) are red -- Redd is the family name of our company owner(s), hence the RED vehicles. As I am the General Manager, I'm the Redd Man. The company is 60 years old, and I joined the business after retiring as a public school administrator for the last 5 years of a 27 year career. Just going to take it easy, no stress, just an old (15 yrs old, to be exact) truck to drive and take care of customers. Suddenly tragedy struck and I find myself Business Manager then General Manager in a flurry of time. Oh well, so much for a stressless retirement 2nd job.
I decided to get a nice company truck for my personal business use as I will probably be driving it when I retire again sometime in the future. We retired 2 old Nissans and passed down my Ranger Extended Cab Flareside to the new guy -- who thought the Ranger was the brand new truck when he was looking at it -- I'm so compulsive about clean, well-maintained, and pride in what I drive. Ok -- that's the story in a nut-shell -- oh, and a lady never tells her age --- and a negotiator never tells what he/she paid for a vehicle. Let's just say the reputation of getting an amazing deal on vehicles is still intact --- well below MSRP and actually better than the "X" plan price, but thanks for asking anyway. I hope you understand. If you're around Natchez, check out the black Limited Ed. STX -- it's really b a d !

Check the gallery group -- there are 9 or 10 there to view -- check it out. The PhotoShop image of the baby being born says it all, IMHO -- Fords are Phun.

Nice truck!

I really like those rims. Aren't they the ones in the Ford accessories catalog?

I'll have to check the accessory catalog and see. That's why I'm asking questions, 'cause so many of you F150 folks know a bunch more than I do about these trucks and as I try to build a data base on the truck, your suggestions and ideas help a lot.

awesome truck.my guess is the trucks got the keyless entry and power options when on the assembly line.it would be to much of a problem to add them after the truck was built.then the other items were added after the truck came off the line.the wheels and chrome edition badges and things are all in the ford parts bin.then of course the limited editon badges are one offs.remember when chevrolet used to do the copo stuff in the 60,s?you could put in a order for a lot of cars speced out the same.i.e say 250 with options not standard or avaliable.ford just put in an order for 250 stx's to get the power options.then the other stuff was added and the trucks were sent to the dealer..what about the interior?tach? seat trim?etc. whats it like? either way i wish i could have got one i love the look of the ftx and wanted power and keyless entry on one.
