That's exactly what I was saying before, but it turned into a huge pissing match on the internet about who's smarter and has more college degrees or something. I dunno, I didnt read it all. Oh well. It's a sweet lookin truck anyway, nice find.

If you decide to come to Natchez, the dealer is Natchez Ford ... ask for Trey Kaiser. He's a really fine young man and will help you into the STX if you're interested. I loved the black, but red fits the company image.

Interestingly enough, I retired 4 years ago as a school principal in LA. I was a coach for 16 of 27 years in the public schools -- football, basketball, and even girls' softball for 2 years. If you decide to come over this way, send me a "pm" and I'll give you some details.

Interesting that you have chosen to delete (edit) your remarks from our interaction so no one can go back and see exactly what you said and how you said it. Convenient isn't? Folks can still see all of my messages and some of yours via the comment option -- I in no way was in a pissing contest with you or anyone -- others posting know that. What I am doing is asking questions and wanting answers. Does that sound like someone who wants to argue knowledge? I'm sorry you have continued to choose to beat the dog instead of putting the comments aside and just answer questions in a considerate way. Oh well -- you have to live with yourself and I still wish you no ill will. Just drop it and let me ask questions and get answers from the quality folks that seem to enjoy the forum. Also -- thanks for the comment that it's a sweet looking truck.

That seems to be the consensus of others as well. Ford has done this in the Mustang world, so I guess doing it with F150's, etc. is logical.
As to the interior, it is grey cloth split bench with center console/armrest. Carpet delete. It has a tach and gauges, cruise, tilt, the AM/FM/6 disc CD radio, p/w, p/l, p/b, p/s. The glass is solar tinted, and I intend to add darker (but legal) tint all around as in our 05 'Stang.

I also like the STX and was surprised to find one with the power options since the brochures and Ford site said these were n/a on an STX. I need a comfortable truck since I'm on the road a minimum of 2 1/2 hrs. each day -- most days more -- and I loved my Ranger XLT -- but this has so much more room and I feel somehow safer on urban and rural roads around MS & LA in the full-size plus I can take employees to meetings, seminars, and workshops in the STX while the jump seats in the Ranger were hardly realistic in this way.
Thanks again for your input.

Thanks For The Input

Thanks for all of the input on the STX Limited Edition 1 of 250 that I purchased this past week. A Ford executive contacted me by em, and filled in the blanks. Basically since the STX does not come with the power accessories available on the XLT, Ford did just what so many of you suggested. A special edition run of 250 STX units. Marketing often requests such runs to test markets and generate interest in certain models. Sometimes a special run is done for all dealers in a particular state as a draw to these dealerships. We are seeing the 1 of 250 STX units in the southern markets, but he did not elaborate. It seems from feedback that LA and MS are primary sites since no one has mentioned them in TX, AK, AL -- but I don't know beyond LA & MS
Again, thanks for the feedback. Although this STX will be a personal company truck, I plan to take excellent care of it as I have our classic Mustangs and the new 05 GT. It's unique, comfortable, and very enjoyable to drive with the 20" machined aluminum wheels and GoodYear Eagle 2 tires in 275-55-20. If any others of you acquire on of these, send me a PM -- we might start something special.

You're welcome.

It is a sweet looking truck and the reason I edited everything was because:

A) I was having a bad day and was out of character
B) I said some really stupid ****.

Nevermind that you quoted it all and everyone can read it anyway. Oh well. Enjoy your truck. I've always had a thing for the flaresides, just can't bring myself to bite the bullet and buy one. I'm on my third 04+ F-150 in a row, btw. Enjoy, and welcome to the forum.

As far as I know, the "lowest" trim level that can be had on a SCrew is XLT. And I agree, if the STX would've had power and a tach, I'd have one right now instead of my XLT. The only only other option that might have held me back would be that the STX isn't available with the 5.4, but I think I would have lived.

Tach, P/W, P/L, and Keyless Entry -- also power outside mirrors. The XM radio was easily added after removing it from my Ranger Ext. Cab. As far as the breakdown, both @ Natchez are SC Flaresides with the exact package as in the one we bought. Those that saw the STX Limited in Lafayette, Bunkie, & Central Louisiana and Lucedale, MS might want to jump in on this.
I'll take some inside pics so ya'll can see the interior before the week is over.

Thanks == Forums are an excellent source of information == I grew up when "real trucks" were "stepsides", so I also have a thing for them.

Glad to see this post, we just bought one of these Limited editions from North Point Ford here in central Arkansas on Saturday. The one we bought is black. This one is my wifes truck, makes us a two F-150 family since I already had a '05 regular cab. It is a very sweet package, its basically a XLT with a few extra's like 20" Alcoa wheels, chrome running boards and best of all carpet delete, which is the way a truck should be if you ask me If I can figure out how to post pic's I will get one up soon of ours. BTW, if anyone is interested in finding any of these North Point has about 5 more on their lot, seems like maybe one more black, a couple of silvers, a red one and a white one.

Nacho libre, I have a pic of you in your gym pants! WAHHOO. Nobody is going to get that but I'll vouch for this
