Actually fordparts.com has the shifter for $188.66 plus shipping, part number 4L3Z-7210-CD. Not a bad price and from the looks of the lower diagram (sorry for the size), the 7210 portion of the part number includes everything with a pink box next to it.

Top finish panel is the silver top that actually has the cupholders in it, and the cutout for the shifter.

Thanks....that's what I was thinking it was...only thing is I didn't see an option for color choice. Hopefully the one I ordered matches my interior...black/grey.

Like many others i am sure, i am going to recreate your project - any chance your interested in making a few bucks and selling templates?! if so, i would be interested!
Thanks

Hello ben-stang, I’ve been looking around here and can’t find the original cardboard templates I made (must have been tossed out). I could trace the side panels but I’ll have to remove them to do that. All I can say is that I’ll trace them whenever I remove them again and let you know.

The problem may be that mine may not fit up to your application. The distance from the dash to the console, the floor contour and the height the console sits above the carpet may all be different. You will probably be better off fitting-up and making your own anyway.

With all that said, I have no problem sending you templates, I just don’t know how soon I can get them.

Hey FX4, do you happen to have some better pictures of where that unused male grey connector is coming from off your wiring harness? This is to plug into the flow thru console. I saw the picture in your gallery, but still can't find that plug on my harness anywhere. I hope ford didn't forget to put it there!

I don’t have any more pictures, in fact I swiped that picture from someone else’s post because I forgot to snap one. It’s located just below the right side of the radio attached to a large harness going across the dash. It’s an eight wire connector with seven wires in it. Let me know if the wire colors would help.

Also, thanks for posting the shifter info and price. The shifters don’t often show up on eBay.

Thanks FX4, I'll check again!

FX4&Excursion...thanks for posting the info about the shifter. I saw one on ebay, but it looked like it only included the top part of the shifter and not the part that actually bolts down into the console. I just went ahead and ordered one from Fordparts.com. I had tried looking it up on there before with no luck, but it's amazing how easy it is when you can just punch in the part number.

Some people have found that the unused Floor Console wiring harness, shown in one of my gallery pictures tucked away just below the right side of the radio is not included in their truck.

This seems to be the case in the SCREW (don’t know about the SCAB yet). Why this connector is included in a Regular Cab truck like mine that has no option for a floor console and not in the SCREW that does have the option of having a console is beyond me.

This just means that the conversion for you guys without this connector just got a little more involved. I’ve put together an instruction sheet and wiring diagram and added them to my Console Install Gallery. These instructions are for a 2005 truck only, I don’t have a wiring diagram for any other years and I don’t know if it is the same. Also, there are no guarantees that this will work, although I think it should and would wire my truck like this if I where doing the conversion without the factory Floor Console harness. Basically you’re just extending wiring from the steering column where you no longer need it to the floor shifter where you do.

FX4&EXCURSION will be the first to use this on his massive Dash and Console conversion project so we’ll all find out how it works out.

I'll be doing this conversion soon....as soon as the rest of my parts arrive, which should be by this weekend. I'm just praying that connector is there....waiting to be plugged in LOL. If not, it'll just be a bit more work, but no big deal.....FWIW...FX4&Harley....you've gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide the details for this mod and for that we all thank you!!!!!!!

Good news and bad news.....one of my two boxes arrived today. The box that came had my shifter assembly...NIIIICE!!!! Only bad thing is both boxes arrived in IL the same day according to the UPS tracking site, but only the one left...still showing the other box as only having arrived at that site. I hope it didn't fall off from some conveyor belt and is now collecting dust on the floor somewhere. How long should I wait before I make an inquiry?????
