the fishing line wont damage anything on there? So goo gone gets rid of it? Doesn't ruin the paint does it? Also on both your trucks it kind of looks like theres a mark left from taking them off, or that just reflection or does it leave a mark? Does it look horrible if so?

I just used the fishing line to get enough of the strip up so I could pull it off, just take your time and go slow. Maybe the reflection your seeing is the body line.. I used orange goo gone spray to get the adhesive off doesn't hurt the paint at all. The paint might be a little darker underneath but some rubbing compound would blend it out,you probably wont notice it at all on a white truck.

i took my door molding off too. i used a blow dryer and heated the molding so i could pull it off. didnt take long and no marks. you may need some polish to get some of the dirt that is stuck in the paint but it comes out and you would never know that it was there.

on the gearing, i dont know what type of terrain you drive on, but im on flat roads mostly and ive been running 35's on my truck with stock 3.55 gears for almost four years. but if you do regear, consider getting 4.88's if you want to go bigger than 35's later on, since you are considering a body lift.

I think I am going to take the molding off then, if all fails ill put it back on. Thanks guys! And yea, been looking at body lifts, I am actually very much leaning to get one. 37s down the road as well.. So this is what I got around to doing so far.. (had some other chores around the house to get to today)

While I think the chrome looks good on the running boards with the wheels, I think it looking taller is nice, until I get a body lift I think I am going to leave them off. Doing the other side then heading to the store to buy some paint and everything to paint the fenders. I think I am going to try to fit the honeycomb and top of fender for next week. Ordering some Black Lightning heads tonight too with silver amber corner bulbs (my headlights are HIDS, the 9k whitish blue). Think it'll look good.

For paint for the fenders if I am going white, is there a certain white that goes with the truck? Don't want two different types. Im also considering the honeycomb to be black as I stated but looking into getting a white front badge. Also top of bumper I think I am going white as well.

im pretty sure your truck would be oxford white. just check your door label to be sure. look for the color code.

before you buy the corner lights, check these out. they are white until you turn your blinker on.

Yeah not sure but I don't have residue anymore. I think your looking at the body line. I didn't even really need a heat gun for mine. I just left the truck in the sun and pulled them off lol. Didn't mess anything up.

That is pretty dope actually. But for 54 bucks I am going to have to wait on them. Maybe I can convince the fam for the bday coming up that I want those. Although with my HIDs will they look good? I imagine the color is different.

I think I will go with these corners for now and look for those down the road when the pocket is a little more full.

passenger side done, now shower and home depot here I come

Yea, I feel you there, I took forever to finally get out of bed today. I work 5 days one week 2 the next, 12 hour shift graveyards. By my days off im dead.

Taking off the running boards was honestly no more than 30 min of work and thats taking your time. If you have the right tools prob be like 5-10 minutes.

Get a hairdryer and heat up the gunk tht holds them on and then get fishin line behind it. The heat softens it up
