power window swap
do you think it is possable to swap power windows out of a 98 f150 xcab xlt to a 98 f150 reg cab XL? is the wire for the windows and locks ran by there own harness or does it tie in to the main ? does any one have a pic of where the door harness plugs in to the main harness or if it does or confirm it part of the main harnes and does not unplug

Just completed the conversion for my 2003 F150, using A1 Electric Power windows. There were no pre-installed wires. I bought wiring harness (2000 F150) with connectors from eBay and used that as a basis for wiring. Still had to add bunch of more wires. I also bought new door panels from eBay; wrapped real leather to armrest and the panel above it.

(I've earlier converted all "dark gray" plastic parts to "light gray", so the new door panels complete the interior)

Yes I was able to get all the power to work I used the factory door harness which runs behind the dash and plugs into the factory harness and the power locks work but had to add in 2 relays to power the 1 to power the windows and 1to power the mirrors but they all worked except the auto down. I sold the truck 5 years ago or i would show you how I did it I believe I just had to feed the main power to the driver door switch for the windows to work and feed power to the mirror switch. You should be able to find what wire is what on a wire diagram. Good luck I loved mine after I got it to work miss that old truck
