Who is in the 100,000 mile club?
100,000 mile club
I hit 100,000 last week and mine does use at least a quart in between oil changes. But the funny part is it doesn't leak a drop of oil and when I changed the plugs there was not one with oil on it.So I'll guess I'll run it until I start burning more than a quart between oil changes . Using Castrol 10w30 now. I thinking of going to Kendall's Performance 5w40
Just bought a '93 F-150 w/ 219,000. I-6 keeps plugging along, has had tranny re-built before I got it, and I just rebuilt the diffs (did ratio change, that's why the tranny blew) and leaks just a little. Will be towing custom built off-road Samurai with it.
195,000 on an 89 F-150. Still running strong, and has plenty of power. Thinking about replacing the stock 302 with a 347 Stroker in about a year (thats all the life I am EXPECTING to get out of it).
I just turned 105,000 miles on my 97 f150 4.6, just replaced the clutch and starter but the motor is untouched and still runs great.

Is there a 200,000 mile club? I'm at 203,000 with my '97 ext. cab flareside 4.6 5 speed and still running strong. Only work I've done is my own damn fault - replaced a bent and twisted rear end, driveshaft and transmission from one too many smoky burnouts.
Well fellas this will be my last post. I have gone to the "DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE". Just traded in my 1997 F-150 king cab Lariet 4.6L for a 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 off road 5.3L
The Ford had 128,000 on it and it was still going (although it was making some strange sounds).
I really enjoyed the F-150 but had to go with a Chevy ($7,000 below sticker with my wife's employee discount and 1.9% financing). SO far the new truck has been great, alot of power, but I do miss my Ford.

well not really inherited...I sold my 94 Explorer which had 173,000 kms on her only replaced brakes and did the u-joints once, but had to go bigger to tow my new trailer so of course I stuck with Ford. Just bought a 1997 F150 SC 2WD with the 4.6, it has 174,000 kms all highway and it runs great but we'll see how it does towing through the rockies. Seems tight to me and I'm sure the previous owners babied it. I'm planning on making it last another 100,000 kms with some synthetics and some TLC. I'm just getting to know her and I'm looking forward to exploring Vancouver Island for many weekends to come. Ford Forever!

I have read a lot of posts about how bad these trucks are and was just wondering how many of us are in the 100,000 miles club (160,900 kilometers for those outside the U.S.).
It is generally accepted that 100,000 miles is a measure of a good vehicle. My truck idles steady at 600 rpm and continues to pull hard.
