Question Goodyear MT/X

Just wanted to see if any of you run Goodyear MT/X's on your rigs. I haven't heard to much on this tire, but what little I have heard, is that it is pretty good. Is this true? And can I put a 285/70R17 on a stock oe rim?

I have the 275/70/17 Goodyear AT/S tires. 285's wouldn't be a problem on stock 17 inch rims.

The MT/R's look nice, not sure about the price though.

I see a lot of traail rigs in the big magazines with the MTRs on. If you look at the contests, a lot of the winners are running the MTRs. No opinion, just observation...

Thumbs up Two thumbs up for the MT/R's

I bought the MT/R's. They don't come in 285, just 275 for the 17 inch size. 275/70/17and do fit on the factory wheel They are by far the best tires I have ever owned. They have a awesome look, great traction, and the don't even make much noise while driving. I love them. I would definetly get them again. I had 4 of them installed, lifetime balancing, valve stems, lifetime rotation and road hazard for $795.00. I shopped around for a while. Everywhere else I went wanted over $1100.00.

The mt/r is , without a doubt, the best on/off road tire I've ever owned. I've owned them all in my over 20 years of off-roading and would put these up against any as best all-around performer. Get ya a set, Rich.

285's are available

I just put on a set of 285x70x17 on me 99 F150 and they look real sharp. In my opinion the tires are great. I orderd them from tirerack.co , they also have a 305 in the M/t. Goodyear M/T 285x70x17 are the way to go.

Unhappy I wish I would have waited

I see that they do make them now. That makes me a little upset. 275/70/17 were the biggest they made for 17 rims besides the 37" ones. I only bought them 3 months ago and the only have 1500 miles on them. Anyone want to by a set? I now need a bigger size.
