Bigger tire on rear

Are there any potiental problems with having a wider rim and a taller tire on the rear. Obviously it will prevent rotation but any other problems. Looking at a used set and rear rims are about 1" wider and rear tires are about 1" taller than the front.

I was just going to post the same question but because when I drop my ride the tire won't fill my wheel well enought..

I have 18/255/55 and in the rear there not quite deep enough.

I know I can get the same hight with 285/50 but I want somthing like 305/60-just example not sure what size I want, but it has to be higher.
what does the speedo run off the front or rear rotation??
thanks

Do you have a 4X4? If so your gear ratios would be out of sync and cause lockup issues in 4 wheel drive. Other than that I cant think of any other problems.

YOu may have dangerous breaking problems!!! If you have 4 wheel disk, anti lock breaks, when all 4 tires are not the same diameter, there would be un-even breaking force, causing severe handling problems when hard breaking.
