I'm suspecting the roughness is coming from the front 4wd system, either losing or lost a CV axle since my angles are horrible, or IWE's. I replaced the IWE solenoid behind the battery already and that did not cure it. I want to say its like its not disengaging fully since I get a lot more roughness when turning, but not like its in 4wd on dry pavement (if that makes sense). It's also real bad after first startup and driving off like it didn't get enough vacuum or something to disengage..

Matt it sounds like you are at the height were the system is binding.

Does it pop/groan/grind when you turn the wheel just sitting at ride height? Mine does this fully unloaded.

Ehh, I'd have to check on that. I don't believe so, but I can't remember. The power steering groans like hell anytime I'm turning that is for sure.... I'm sure you are right about the height binding things, at last I measured I'm almost 3-4 Inches over the 8" lift. Basically a useless truck Amazingly the truck rides better than ever besides all the popping from the damn springs and occasionally the front end.

I checked the IWE's this morning and visually they checked out, and mechanically from observation (starting truck and jacking up front end, etc..) they checked out. They also appear to disengage after exiting 4wd, and no front driveshaft spinning all the time (so no blown 4wd fuse).

However after entering/exiting 4wd today the ride was not near as rough, and the grinding noise that goes on when letting off the gas (Chris knows what I'm talking about, remember the driveline thread you had about axle shims and the "grrrrttt""grrrrrrrttt" type noise )

I certainly can't seem to isolate it to any one place. I recently changed the Tcase fluid but this has been going on before that. It had no chunks of metal, no shavings and was still surprisingly red. Changed the Trans. fluid, and rear differential fluid. I still have to break open the front diff for an oil change..

That brings ip a great point, I need to fix my exhaust since I had to cut off the tips to install the new leaf packs.

The angles are terrible but not much I can do about it. I refuse to redo the coilovers again. King and I argued about the 18" springs spreading after they redid the internals and took some junk out... Sure enough, I could see the spread the minute I opened the box back from them, getting them on the truck confirmed it. The plus is they ride great now, nothing like getting the extra lift without the crappy ride of a cranked coilover!

Pretty damn quick, I think I'm going to get myself a miller wire welder for Christmas

Also anyone interested in a kumho 38x15.50r20? Discount called and offered it to me for 50 bucks since they have set on it for a year now... I may also see if anyone is interested in buying two of my 37's that still have a little over a 1/4" of tread left...
