Wheel Options - Suggestion?

Hey all - new to the website. Just traded off my beloved Tundra for an 04 Screw Lariat. I hope to make a number of mods to it, but first, I want to get rid of the 26" rims the truck came with. (Pics on my profile photo gallery).

I'm thinking about either 20" or 22", chrome with a decent lip. Anyone have any suggestions about what might look good without taking out a second mortgage on the house? thanks!

Welcome, and WOW, 26s?!? Wow, those are some big wheels. I don't know much about your street wheel options, but that is a nice truck. I probably wouldn't go bigger than 22s for a street truck though. I look forward to seeing some responses. Good luck.

Thanks - I'm sure the previous owner didn't mind the double-takes, but seriously, the ride isn't what I think it should be. I just want to be able to go to a higher profile tire, 40 or 50 series would make a big improvement. I like the look of some of the 22"s I've seen on here.

I'd suggest 22's or 24's.

Even the right 24's would allow a little more rubber between me and the road...!

Riverjack, Wandell knows his stuff on the fitment side of things. When you get to that point, he is a great one to ask.

Question

Thanks Colonel - I'm sure I'll have fitment questions before I actually make a purchase. Not even sure what size tires will fit on say a 22x9 rim....

There is a set of black 23" Saleens in the classifieds here that would look sweet. https://www.f150online.com/forums/pa...lack-lugs.html Also New Take Offs is a site sponser and they have the polished and black 22" HD wheels for sale.

Thanks for the tip on the rims. I really think I want to put chrome rims on and not overdo the whole black theme -even though some of the black rims really do look sharp the F150s. Definitely going with a 20" or 22" with at least a 45 profile.
