Question Cam Phaser issue prevention

Hi. I have a 2010 F150 5.4 3v engine with about 200,000 km (124,000 miles) and am noticing some engine clacking on startup. The noise is not very loud but is there and seems to dissipate after a short time. This appears to be in line with a known cam phaser issue. My question is, is there a way to identify that this is indeed the issue and if so, is there something I can do now repair wise, to avoid more severe issues and costs in the future? The truck is in great shape with no rust so I would like to keep it for a few years yet and figured it would be worth doing preventative repair now, depending on the cost. I am not a mechanic and looking for some guidance from those who may have experienced this issue.

Thanks

What exact oil and oil filter are you using? How often do you change it?

Oil changes have all been done at a Ford dealer using Motorcraft 5W20 oil and FL820S Filter. Average mileage between changes has been 7123 kilometers (4426 miles).

Phasers are no big deal, but there may be underlying causes. It could be cam followers, it may be timing chain guides coming apart. To do a full timing job can cost close to a reman engine. Normally, phasers make noise after warmed up due to low oil pressure, so I'd be inclined to think cam followers (lifters). Check this out:
