New Good Year Dura Trac Tires

Check out the cool alternative to BFG KO'S. The good year Dura Trac in 275/70/18s which are 33.2" Excellent ride at a cheaper price.

I seen them tires on a f150 just the other day and they sure look good, but around here they are higher than the bfg's. But definitely a good looking a/t tire.

Be careful with the larger size, the 275/70/18's are 17lbs heavier than stock tires. and they are like an 8ply tire.

duratrac

I'm thinking about going with the 275/70R18 but it is a 10 ply which will have a pretty stiff ride. On the other hand, if you want a larger than OE 18 inch tire, it is going to be an 8 ply or higher.

How are they wearing? I know Good Years' are a bit softer but how much softer...?

Are they more costly than the MT-Rs?

i dont find them that soft. i had a set of 33" durango's (which is now hercules tires) and they felt way softer than these and had hardly any wear after 3 years. mind you i switched them in the fall when winter comes so its not a ture full year..
way cheaper than the mt-r's. these were the cheapest tire i could find for the 18inch rim around here.
450 atire for BFG KO
375 for hercules MT's
399 For cooper sst
and i got the goodyears for 265 a tire
if your looking for a nice all terrain these are the tires. im really impressed with the looks and performance of them.

Dura Trac

I guess the weight of the Dura tracs would be relative to what you were running before hand. I had stock BFG long trails. My new Dura Tracs in the 275/70/18's are almost 16 lbs heavier than stock 18' long trails. However, these tires are awesome. They look good ride good and are cheaper than most all AT tires. They look very aggressive and Even though they are heavier ply you can just run around 45-50 lbs of air. This is what discount tire recommended. I only have about 1,000 miles on them, but i am very happy with them.
