anyone running Kumhos
I like the looks of the Kumho Road Venture MT KL71 tires but have not seen any posts on them. Anyone else have any experience with them, are they worth the money, pricey vs others. I dont want to waste money on junk rubber because they look good. one more question. 2.5" spacers say they allow for a 33" tire. My stock tires are 32.6 or something. I am putting on some Bilstien 5100 leveling shocks. will 35's fit? specific backspacing to make them? or do i need a spacer or body lift? ok thats 3

Several members at FTW ave them and seem to really like them.
As for fitment, I assume you have a 4x4. If you add a leveling kit or Bilstiens (you can't combine the two for more lift, you can fit up to a 35x12.50 using the OEM wheels. They will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. With an aftermarket wheel you can fit 33's. If you combine a leveling kit with a body lift you can fit 35's on an aftermarket wheel.

yeah its 4x4 and I only have the bilstiens. Why will 35" fit on OEM wheels but not with aftermarket. Cant you find some wheels with the right AS or BS. Anyways, I'll probably just add a small body lift to get the clearance. I dont want a huge lift to run 38" or anything, not changing gears.
Thanks

Most aftermarket wheels are wider and have less backspacing than the oem wheels (which are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of bs). You can fit a 35x12.50 using and aftermarket wheel if it's almost identical to the oem specs. PawPaw runs 35x12.50's using a 17x8 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of bs. He tried the same tire on (I believe) a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of bs and had major rubbing. Wheel width and bs is just as important to fitment as the size of the tire itself.

i know they are only offered in select sizes, which is one reason you dont see more people running them...there is a guy in my apt complex who has a superduty lifted at least 12 inches running them on a set of black KMC rockstars...they might be 38s on 20s or 22s if i guess correctly..awesome looking truck to say the least..

i dont think theyre that pricey, you might wanna shop around. When i looked at them in a 35x12.50r18 a couple months ago they were by far on the cheaper side for tires that size. Check out eBay, they seem to have alot of them on there sometimes, just make sure you buy from a reliable seller.
Good Luck, and be sure post pictures when you get 'em
