Confused

Hey guys i got a problem here.... I want to get a new set a wheels for my 2001 Supercrew... problem is i can't lower it because i use the truck to go to the ranch from time to time and well the streets where i live suck. I can't put a lift on it because my parents still have to be able to get in... and they have a hard enough time as it is...

My question is what would be a good looking set of wheels that aren't too expensive that will "work" with my truck? Or should i just give up and stay with my stock?

well really any wheel will look good but its more of a preferrence! go to wheelsforless.com they have a good selection! id say go for a 16-18" wheel with the same size tire you already have, thus you are not increasing or decreasin ride hieght!

If your parents have a hard time getting in, you might put steps on it if you haven't already..

Just a thought.

I see...

Well wheels/tires shouldnt raise it at all if you get the same size or equivalent tires..

And even if you go slightly bigger, I don't think it would be noticeable.

Well I'm not necessarily worried about the wheels/tires raising/lowering me. It's just usually in order to make the wheels fit with the truck... the truck is usually on a lift or lowered. I really haven't seen a truck at stock level with after market wheels that fit with it, or I'm just blind and haven't noticed.

You can put all sorts of wheels on a stock truck.

Many people on this forum just get the "mod bug" and start lifting, etc.

You can put 16-18 inch wheels on no problem.

Maybe even 20s, but I'm not sure, I'll let someone else chime in on that.

Do you have a 4x4 or 4x2? Do you want an off road or street truck look?

i have a 4x2. I guess I'm looking for more of a street scene. I think once i get new wheels i will just swap out my old ones when i go to the ranch. I just want something nicer then stock wheels. :o

I'd install a set of 2 inch drop shackles out back and some 305/40-22's.
