Angry Vibrationing BFG's!!!

I recently put 35's bfg muds on my truck. I have noticed that when going 55-60 my steering wheels vibrates. It is almost like a wobble. Im wondering if they need to be re-balanced. I believe that i read something a while back about bfg doing this. Please help.

Where did you buy them? The reason i ask is because not many places have the ability to accuratly balance tires that big, so i would take them to a 4X4 specialty store.

P.S. vibrationing isn't a word

My hankook M/T's had to be rebalanced. Second time was the charm. My steering wheel was vibrating badly. The trie shop tried to give me the business that "the tries need to be driven for 1000 or so miles so the beads can seat properly." I knew that was bovine excrement.....I made them rebalance them, and the vibrationation was gone!

I got them from 4wheel parts. They shipped them from cross country. They are the stick on weights and on my last rim and tire combo they fell off!!!

take them back and make them rebalance and check for a bent rim.

If you are getting a back and forth shimmy on our steering wheel then you should also check the steering wheel nibble thread under the 2004+ section of the forum: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=261284. I recently had a lift kit installed and now I've got the 'nibble' .... I thought it was a unbalanced tire and had it rebalanced but it didn't change anything. Once I saw the video that Impact9 posted, it understood what the nibble was...and that I now have it...

I would take them and have them rebalanced. Have them spin the wheels on the balancer to see what the weights are, and if they happen to zero out. check to see how much weight they have plastered on each side of the rim. if they have lots of weight on each side, have them strip off the weights and have them spin the tire 180 or 90 degrees on the rim and spin it again. If the weight needed to balance the wheel is smaller, then have them balance it out, if not, keep spinning the tire on the rim to find the best spot. BFGs can be a pain, and especially with stick ons. Also, my method of balancing using sticks ons is always to set the machine up so that it measures as close as possible to the side nearest to each rim lip, and place the weights in the same way. Ive found that rims with weights placed near center never balance out perfectly. (well, almost never anyway). If no matter where you place the tire on the rim its stil coming out heavy(and provided the rim itself isnt bent a bad casting) then I would suggest getting another tire.
