This sucks I cant remove my stock Rims!?

Well my rims/tires/2"AS kit all came in and was ready to start to work with the 2" AS kit. As i started takeing the center cap off and the lug nuts there seems to be some kind of lock lug! I attached a pic is this stock from ford? If so and regardless I dont have a key to remove the wheels from the truck!

See link below for a pic of the lock and thanks and what to do now?

Man that sucks. Glad you found out about it now instead of on the side of the road with a flat. Should be able to run down to any tire place to get it off. Snap on makes a tool to take off locking lugs, just tap it on and turn it off

I dont have a discount tires anywhere around me. I may see if a local tire store has anything I was hoping to find something local to save time. Im itching to get the 2"AS kit installed!

lastorms its funny you said that some guy told me the same thing here in town but not sure were snap on has a store here.

So Im guessing from the replys this is not a ford lock. I cant beleieve someone put locks on the stock rims! GRRR

It almost looks like an older GM wheel lock, not real sure tho. As far as Snap-on, i dont think they have any stores they just have trucks that go to shops every week. Do you know anyone in the auto business, mechanics, that might be able to help you out? I have gotten them off with out the tool by using a socket close to the size of the lock, if it aint super tight you can hammer the socket on and turn it off

Take it to a local tire place. They can cut it off.

Here's a little trick i learned from changing old tractor tires. Take the next size smaller socket and pound it on with a B.F.H. You're going to riun the socket and the nut. But i have never had one not come off this way.

I've done that one before and not hurt the socket if its good quality. Sometimes it's a bear to get the nut out.

If you reduce the size of your pictures, we won't have to scroll left and right and up and down to see the pic. Plus it really sux for folks with dial up.

Good luck.

OK I made the picture smaller sorry guys! I worked on it today and wouldnt get anything on it and get it to turn! Im going to have to wait and call ford tomorrow and see if its something that Ford does. Then if not call some tire shops I guess. Im so bummed out having everything and a nice weekend and have this happen.
