Killed a Tundra
Ha Ha Ha LOLLLL what fun !
Mastercrap (oops typo) craft while you can spout off about those foreign car company's building plants here providing high paying jobs you need to realize the money goes back to that little island nation we glassed over 56 years ago Ha Ha Ha.
And maybe those funny little trucks are better but they should be there made from alot of good old american iron the B52's dropped on em'
LOOOLLLL !!!
I love wrapping myself up in the flag, we are a great nation..
And on a unrelated note: Izzy if you read up the reason international went under was not because of poor products it was very poor management.
Is that the wink you like mastercraft? Are you familiar with this leak these people are looking at since they are in fact staring at the ground.

And yes we still have NEW Fords as well, whether you believe it or not. I have 7800 miles on a 2001 right now. So far no problems, but then again after 2 months, who can tell?

Here's the bottom line:
While it may be true that accidents are caused by dui and speeding there is nothing wrong with a nice stop light to stop light race where speeds never exceed 40 and little or no other traffic or grannies on crosswalks.
Those conservative individuals should just relax. We don't race people daily, even weekly but it's nice to hear that v-8 once in a while.
The problem with most of the conservative people is they don't know the rules of the road. Most of the time they drive the speed limit when it's a straight road, no other traffic, bright and sunny. Just stick to the slow lane people and let me pass at 10% over the posted limit.
Why is it that some of you coneheads stick to the fast lane when I give you plenty of opportunity to move over but you have to pass 5 vehicles at 1 mph over their speed?? Is that deliberate provocation or what?
Even if I'm in the fast lane AND exceeding the posted speed limit, if someone comes up my *** doin 100mph I'm going to move over and let'em go by because I actually DO look in my rear view mirror every 3-5 seconds unlike the coneheads.
We should all be safe and still be able to enjoy ourselves once in a while.
There would be a lot less road-rage incidents and shootings if the coneheads simply let the enraged drivers pass in the fast lane. So what if they kill themselves in the next curve, it's not your problem, nor is it your duty to slow them down. Leave it to the pigs.
To the coneheads: no disrespect intended here. I just don't know why you bought a V-8 F150. For towing? Ok, then get a diesel.

Pretty hot thread. I'll defend the farmers to my death. I've worked on the family farm and it's a crock that they can't control their own destiny. As for Gov't subsidies, they aren't worth crap, equates to trying to live on less than minimum wage, try it sometime. Just back off the farmers. As for domestic versus Jap, not all Jap cars are perfectly engineered, there are numerous instances with my wifes car for broken cranks and crank thrust bearing disolving and taking out engine blocks. Great engineering and manufacturing. And as for MasterCraft, yea I posted about Jap vehicles then listed several Jap bikes, read my reply. I stated that they have some decent cars and that Toyota wouldn't knowingly put out junk, but they are not all perfect. They are good at one thing, copying everyone elses stuff and making a ton of them. You think they can design, I don't think so. Their stuff is so boring or just plain ugly. That's my reason for getting my F150 Harley, there's some style to it. I doubt they are going to copy that. If they did what would it be, a Kawaski Vulcan Toyota Tundra. Sorry, no sale here. All vehicles have their good points, I love driving my wifes Miata (nothing can hang with it in the twisties), I appreciate good engineering. I just can't stand copying though, be original.

Irutt - Great post (Kawasaki Vulcan Toyota Tundra)LMAO.
The Japanese have always been great copiers and thieves of ideas. Where do you think the transister came from? Not from Japan. Japan could not sell anything anywhere today if not for technology that they stole from the US. They may manufacture some good products, but they have few original ideas.
Your right about the Miata - I have a 99 and it is a great car.

If mastercraft would look at the sales figures, they can't give the little tundra away. It's like a needle in a haystack. I'll continue to drive the best built truck out there, the big ford truck.

johndeer (the ones built in germany) cant keep engines in them, all are hard starting when cold - keep either on hand. internationals (584) built in england - not very good. 1486 out starts any other tractors no either and no glow plugs, International desigined the trans for the magnum wich was ahead of everyone else but they went bankrupt doing it (everyone else followed the magnum) new holland owns them now but they are going with the case IH magnum instead of the genisis, o and the maxuum cummins engine is simalar to the one in the dodge trucks - was a tractor engine before a truck engine. Point is what are we talking about? O yeah some fords have japanese injectors, some have bosch (german) i wonder who makes the pcm, toyota copied ford design, ford coppied variable cam timing - big mistake as ford could not get it to work - went away from it but are supposedly brining it back - yikes! Ford is a world company who uses world products - 5.4 build in canada, 4.6 some in canda some in us, cobra behive valve springs are wound in the u.s with wire from japan, cobra block cast in italy, crank forged in germany, buy what you like as you are supporting the world not just one country no matter what vehicle u buy.

So if someone British is called a Brit is that bad, NO. A Canadian is a Canuck, SO. An American in another country is a Yank, BIG DEAL. If someone is so thin skinned that they would take offense to being called, Brit, Canuck, Yank, or Jap, then they have some real big problems. Enough of this politically correct crap. It's getting crazy. You don't know what to call people these days. African American, not, they are living in the US not Africa, Native Americans, well we assigned the name Indians to them, and they were natives of this land long before anyone coined the term American. They are all just bull***** labels. Lighten up.

Guys, let's chill. Jap, unlike Brit, is not a simple contraction. It has been a derogatory term, featured prominantly in US propaganda during WWII. While I don't blame the US Gov't for running a propaganda during a war (in fact, I have little love for Japanese myself being a Korean whose country was occupied and pillaged by the Japanese during WWII), I think it's time that we move beyond the little wartime brainwashing by Uncle Sam. It's a rather feeble disingenuity to liken Brit to Jap, but anyway...
I'm probably mere days away til I buy my F150, which would be my third Ford, the priors being an early 90's Probe (shared it with my brother who is now an engineer at Toyota research center in Ann Arbor, and who is, incidentally, married to a Ford HR supervisor at its world HQ) and '95 Mustang GT conv that I purchased new and which, until I sold it last year, has _never_ broken my heart. My current car is RX300 which I like in every regard, and would have kept forever until I saw that bad boy F150 S/C Harley Davidson...
My point is, we buy what we like. No truck comes with flagpoles. No ***** is big enough for our trucks to carry around. If you have to start hunting for merits _outside_ the truck or car itself, then I tihnk you're trying too hard. Find something you like for what it is, not what you think it stands for. For me, my future cars and trucks will most likely be among Toyota family or Ford family, because I forgot to mention an addendum -- we buy what we like that we can also afford.
I found a couple of dealers who'll sell me F150 S/C Harley at A Plan price.
Okay, now you can hate me.

No .sig yet, but since we seem to be listing what we have owned in the past...
Early 90's Ford Probe -- mods: stereo stolen to reduce total weight. Speed gain negligible, unfortunately.
Late 80's Honda Spree scooter -- mods: plastic milk crate tied to the back to carry one and a half bags of grocery. Custom-made cafeteria tray-like hard plastic tonneau cover to keep the grocery bags dry in rain.
'89 Honda CBR600F1 -- mods: Newtonian Physics mod, courtesy of 30 mph collision with a VW Rabbit. Suitably chagrined.
'92 Toyota 4Runner -- mods: Rugged Exterior Package, of mud and occasional dings and dents. Free of charge.
'95 Mustang GT Conv. -- mods: hey, no joking around this one. This was my baby.
'99 Lexus RX300 -- mods: Good looking girlfriend mod. Costs continues to add up. Honk and throw money.
