Put a 351 engine in a 06 F150 King Ranch?

Can I put a 351 (C,W, or M) engine in a 2006 F150 King Ranch 4x4 that has a 5.4L engine in it already? Thanks.

This begs the answer to the question... WHY? Someone steal your engine and you have no money to buy another and you found this one along the side of the road??? I can't think of any other reason to want to do that. Get a little help from God and you might be able to make that happen, otherwise I'd say out of the question. Anything IS possible, but I'd say that's about as close to the "IM" part as you can get.

Be a lot of work, probably not legal depending on where you live, don't think you would like it when you were done anyway.

For what it would cost to try you could end up with a much better setup sticking with your 5.4 and either going to a 4v setup or maybe putting a 3v v10 in it. The modular engines will make way more civilized horsepower easier than any of the older iron.

Enough time, money and fabrication, anything can be done. Wouldn't be worth it though.

There are still many that don't trust or like the modular engines. The older motors tend to be easier and much cheaper to work on.

Just drop a late 08 or 09 5.4 in there and pop a blower ontop.

Never look back.

The newer 3v engines are better. Its not practical swapping old push rod engines in. It would be the same no mater what push rod engine you got. You could put a small block chevy in there for the same amount of work. Not saying you should do that either.

At least go the other direction, not toward the out dated. Go for a 6.2L or even a 5.0L both from a 2011+. Would be a hell of an awesome write up.

So a V10 would be a better bet? I want more power. Does anyone know of a book that tells you what engines fit into a 2006 F150? I've been looking online without much luck.
Thanks guys. I'll look into a blower kit for an 06 5.4L.

Tallyho! Found an Edelbrock E-Force belt-driven blower kit for an 06 F150 5.4L 4x4. Ten pounds of boost
ought to do it.
