98 mark viii to 98' f150 motor swap
Mounted the engine bay fuse block today..
I had a piece of heavy plastic that came out of the Mk8, under the rear deck. (It held the amp and some other mystery box)
I got to looking at it and decided it best to recycle, so I made this...

Ok, I see what you mean. No, unfortunately there are no additional bolt holes, just the six that are for the mk8 mounts. (3 ea side) The passenger side is so close that it could be made to work, but the driverside is way off. I think we might be able to swing it using the mk8's mounts and weld them to the fords frame blocks. As long as clearances allow.
@chrmar & lariat, I thought I read somewhere that the "Intec" motors were built specificly for the Lincoln line, perhaps this is why the "triton" and "intec" bolt holes are different. Also, (not sure if it makes a difference) the Intec block is all aluminum, and the triton was steel, so for sure they were using different casts during manufacturing.
Yeah, depending on usage the Modular motors were called different things. In Ford trucks they're Triton, in Lincoln vehicles they're Intec, however in Thunderbirds and Mustangs they weren't called anything.
I would hazard a guess and say that the different block would be for FWD applications as opposed to RWD applications; the Intec DOHC engines in Navigators and Blackwoods would have the exact same mounts as F-150/Expedition.

Oops, my bad. I was confusing the RWD Mark VIII with the FWD Continental...
But, it stands to reason that if the 4.6 DOHC was developed with the intent to put it in the Continental, the block for the Mark VIII too would be FWD configuration. Maybe?

No, the mk8 is RWD, so this motor is set up for a RWD application, about the Continental , I do know they were FWD, but I can't see this particular motor fitting in anything sideways..LOL
Whoa! That's insane, man that looks like a tight fit.
