So, heres what we got done last night...

We decided it best to just pull ALL the wiring from the mk, and use it in the F150. I mean, dash gauges, a/c controls/radio, digital display, dash controls, dimmer switch, dome light, everything.
We'll just gut the F150 and use all mk's wiring. Figured this will eliminate any electrical/ECU/PATS issues. I plan on having the mk fully stripped and rolled out by tomorrow, and this weekend rolling the F150 in. (The exciting part!!) The hardest part so far? Finding buyers for all these Mark viii parts!! LOL
But just so ya'll can have some more laughs, neither of us has ever even pulled a motor before this. We're doing it because it's challenging, that's the only reason. AND we won't spend more than 1000$. I'm pretty sure (at least from internet research) we are the only ones to attempt this particular transplant, in this way. So enjoy the ride, and see this beast come to life within the next month or so.

Edit: lemme reread how to post pics...Sorry guys

Copy the "direct link" url on Photobucket and then paste it into the Box that pops up when you click the yellow box with the mountains on it (insert image button)

There are a couple of Mark VIII message boards where you might sell some of the parts. MarkVIII.org or something similar.

Powertrain control module, now before I take advice from anyone, I like to know their intelligence level. So maybe I was testing your knowledge of the system. (Fail) What I'm saying is if you don't have any advice or constructive thoughts, then please quit commenting in my thread.

Well knowing the level of yours before I comment is helpful. If your just playing games, well......

Hey, that's okay. However, I can't see that having any benefit.

No playing games here friend, I'm dead serious about this project. It WILL get finished, on budget and it WILL be right. (I'm a perfectionist) I just figured somebody could maybe save me a few steps of errors. Like I said I have never even pulled a motor before this. But I understand most every system on both vehicles I just don't know how well they will play together.
So, with that said, I'm going to hit it again tonight. Just gotta pull the A/C system, and one more small wire loom(I may not even need it). And it's shop cleanup time, to prep for the truck coming in. So we'll have an empty shop tomorrow.
